If we get JV news then we will instantaneously become the cheapest oil and gas company on AIM. Imo
Podcast sounded very bullish to me. Barryroe was mentioned a couple of times, we could hear something soon... fingers crossed.
We own 49% of five exploration licences totalling circa 3,500 sq km within the Kalahari Copper belt smack bang next to MOD/MTR. Now have a look at their drilling results recently. This is an absolute no brainer... we are still valued below 2.5mil mcap. Easy 2-3 bagger (minimum) here in the short term imo.
Great news for MTR = Great news for us, being next door to each other.
I don't recall any talk of a background seller? Have you got the correct board? The trades don't suggest that we have a forward seller at all. We are awaiting news and volume has been relatively low.
Still holding 500k here and very happy to be in this share. News could drop anytime now and catch PI's out who are waiting on the sidelines. Looks as if sells have all but dried up at this level so we could see a SP rise before news. I have a funny feeling that this could be next big multibagger on AIM... bwtfdik!
The last RNS points to news soon and we know PJ is on site. So I wouldn't bet against an RNS next week.
I averaged up this morning, we are entering a period where we can expect a sustained flow of news. So now is the time to be accumulating shares IMO. Good Luck
For starters!
I would not be at all surprised if a farmout does come in a few weeks. Institutions have been buying PVR recently, have a look at the 'notification of interest' RNS. One in November and one last week, including a 10%+ rise last week as well.
Just snapped some up before the bell. Think some PI's jumped the gun in selling when the RNS was released. Looks like a good move to me, the assets are still the same and they aren't going anywhere. Give the guy a chance to prove himself, he looks great on paper.
Would be nice to break this today!
Investing in AIM exploration companies always carries an element of risk. However on the flipside the rewards can be life changing. You obviously don't believe that the PEL will be granted, as you don't believe the company has any potential. However I disagree, I am pretty sure that we will get a positive outcome here RE the licence. When that will be... I have no idea, but it will come in its own time. I can point you in the direction of a number of companies on AIM that are awaiting approvals from the relevant authorities and are valued higher than us and do not have projects anywhere near the size and scope as ours. I think the best way to value a company like Altona is to compare the risks vs rewards. (realistic SP if we didn't get the PEL vs realistic SP if granted) Based on this I believe the mcap at present is undervalued with the potential for tremendous upside. "We understand the government anticipates being in a position to engage with the new owner of PELA 604 early in the New Year." So hopefully not to long to wait now, however if we don't get news soon I still wouldn't be surprised to see a significant rerate here based purely on anticipation of positive news alone considering the size of the asset.
These unloved penny stocks with massive potential are in demand at the moment, news isn't always needed for a share to rerate, this could shift on potential alone. Just look at what happened at URU and FRR, no news and they multibagged a number of times over. The Arckaringa project looks absolutely massive for a company of Altona's size. If PI's catch on to this then expect a rerate, Alternatively if the PEL is confirmed then expect the mother of all rises. IMHO
So a 3mil mcap company announces that its current order book for 2017 stands at £21mil. Is that good or bad? Let's say Ctag announced an order book on thto back of CES for 7 times there mcap at £161mil what do you think would happen to the SP?
Moving back up. Yep you are right Yorkshire, the new chairman taking a 7+% stake in the business at a premium price is a bad thing! Lol
We'll try buying on the dips, can't get a quote to buy even £1k worth
Thanks for the heads up zooropa. Sounds like a business with a bright future.
And not at all surprised. Still tough to buy though as not many shares in issue
This has just taken off, going to fly now. Order book is 7 times greater than the companies market value. No brainer!
