RC is a seasoned player - IF that is his decision he would be making it for the right reasons, properly rehearsed. I also believe in what he has been trying to achieve in what has been an impossible environment. No win situation really. People also forget that he has invested over $300,000 in NCT at and since the IPO - so regardless as to what might happen, he still has a big financial interest and will want to recovery that; IF that means someone else can do that better than him, he will see that.

Helpful I have no idea but to my mind it could be pointing that way. As I have said many times here, I strongly believe that NCT future is not Shoats Creek (but looks like a decent cash cow unfolding) but Mexico and more specifically oil services, and joint ventures. Thought; IF NCT are trying to do a large JV deal in that arena there is a distinct possibility that the dominant partner might want to determine the Board? Just saying, but have no foundation for that but very logical. At some point a CEO may recognise that other qualities are needed to take business to the next level and step aside in the interest of a company and its shareholders. RC for me has always been the deal maker, not necessarily the guy to make that deal work. Big difference. Not forgetting that all shareholders (well bar last few months) are at a large loss and I have no doubt that many larger shareholders have expressed theirs concerns. I did think, as I said then, yesterday's RNS was a pivotal moment for what surely must be near term Board changes. imo I could be very much off the mark but current developments for me are pointing that way. IF it happens, it can only be very good news for NCT and shareholders.

In company law, can't an Executive Chairman over rule its CEO....... (and I don't think RC is on holiday) There has been speculation here and elsewhere about Board changes at NCT and it would not surprise me.

The rns was imo very badly written - I have also expressed my concerns. There will be an explanation soon I expect.

Noli - yes as mentioned yesterday there are errors in the rns - I raised it and I was told by they would pass my comments onto the company! In my view RC did not write that RNS so that raises obvious questions - as I said yesterday what's going on in the NCT boardroom? I speculate much is going on. Ask yourself why we haven't had an AGM date yet? Doesn't AGM deal with voting on direct is? Not rocket science imo

Agreed Noli. Hopefully NCT will keep their NRI in the likes of LM14 and other gassier workovers. The RNS in my view is all about highlighting the near term gas play opportunity.

Andrew Bell will be scratching around to raise his monies to participate in gas before the reserves are proven/entry price goes through the roof. Hopefully though NCT won't need his money and retain lion share. Mr M will be pleased though escaping more RRR dilution, lol

The underlying message seems very clear that is as gas prices have risen significantly and infrastructure is in place now is the time to turn it on. They are also saying that they expect more gassier pay zones than LM14. ..."Lutcher Moore #14, (“LM#14) (Frio formation, Northcote 70% WI), now tested 40 bopd and 2.5 million cubic feet (gross) of natural gas production over 24 hours". 2.5M cubic feet per day (if test = production)it is worth $2.4m per annum gross. Then add more gas from gassier pay zones, low risk, low cost. And NCT with the lions share. What's not to like about that? Shoats Creek is not the main prize but if things go to plan and near term as the RNS says there should be some serious cash generation. Very good.

lol. Mr Magic = labratt. We know your opinion Mr M, but I was asking labratt. As latratt says there is no explanation why they have held back LM20 production, I can think of quite a few very good commercial reasons. Surely it's about ensuring they max out the well and specific economies. Again you simply have a huge negative slant on absolutely everything, EVERY TIME, regardless.
