RE: 360VR v 3D1 Jun 2019 18:38
Brownadder I can see that optometry is not your forte so is will try and explain without appearing pompous.
If you are watching a real 3D movie with glasses or sitting in the real world you can sit as still as you like but you will see everything in 3D not 2D.
That is because each eye sees a different picture which is the essence of 3D,
Try this experiment.
Sit perfectly still and hold on finger out at arms length and look at it.
Now close just the left eye and then just the right eye.
Does the picture change ? of course it does and that's why you know you are in a 3D world.
MVR for the most part is monochrome which means you see the same image thro both eyes.
The 3D affect is achieved by three things, the shading, the fact you can look around in 360 and movement of the target or the camera.
It is the movement that gives the allusion of depth.
If the target stays still, your head stays still and the camera stays still then its like looking at the TV.
All sounds very complicated but the MVR guys will know what I mean.
