I think you need to check your facts....

John, I think you are being a bit premature in writing off your investment based on profit versus revenues for last year. Yes, we were all very disappointed that the company did not make more profit last year, and we were not given any explanation for this. If anyone is attending the AGM today, they could ask the question again.

There could be any number of reasons for the low ROS last year, and I will be looking closely at the interim report this month to see what the retained margin is for the first six months of this year.

Well, we know everything will be passed at the AGM and GM given the level of holdings by the directors and associates. We also know the medical cannabis advisory board is in place - see my post yesterday, so, we just need news of the investment.

With the interim results due this month, and a medical cannabis investment announcement, we should hopefully see a decent recovery in the share price.

A few buys now trickling in ahead of the interim results. Should start to see the spread narrowing and the bid price increasing.

Very good value at the current price IMHO.

Still valued at £24.9m. Will be very interesting to see how the market values AfriAg when the first medical cannabis investments are announced which will hopefully coincide with profitable trading from the other divisions.

Just added a few more. Expecting interims this week and I believe there will be plenty positive news contained within the report.

"The Board has appointed a technical committee, comprising Masello Sello and Germina ‘Mamoeti
Mphoso on the date of publication of this Document (the “Technical Committee”).
Masello Sello qualified as a lawyer from the National University of Lesotho and since qualification
has worked within the Ministry of Law and Constitutional Affairs in Lesotho where she assisted
with drafting and reviewing the country’s laws and regulations governing cannabis including:
 Lesotho’s Drugs of Abuse (Cannabis) Regulations 2018; and
 Lesotho’s Medicines Control and Medical Devices Control Bill 2018.
Masello has also worked in the Ministry of Health in Lesotho where she has gained wide
experience across a number of health-related matters including the use of cannabis for medicinal
purposes.
Germina ‘Mamoeti Mphoso was awarded with a Master of Technology in Pharmaceutical Sciences
from Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa. From 2010 to 2016, Germina held the
position of Head of Pharmacy Strategy and Regulation in Lesotho. She was responsible for the

management of pharmaceutical operations in government and private health facilities in Lesotho
and compliance with relevant procedures, rules and regulations.
Since then, Germina has worked as Chairman of the Lesotho Narcotics Control Bureau. Her role
involves implementing Lesotho’s Drug Abuse Act 2008, licensing matters and reviewing potential
clients within Lesotho’s cannabis industry.
As a consequence of their experiences, Masello and Germina both have an in-depth
understanding of the cannabis industry and an extensive network of contacts.
The Technical Committee will be responsible for reviewing potential investments and reporting to
the Board on a regular basis."

Correction, the disapplication of pre-emption rights has been included in the GM meeting and not the AGM. The BOD will therefore have the authority to issue shares up to the value of £2.2m, if approved.

I am expecting a major transaction to be announced given that the company only sought agreement to issue £300k of shares in the previous financial year.

Just had a chance to read the through the documentation for the meetings on Wednesday and I am pleased to see there is no resolution for pre-emptive rights to issue any further shares.

The loss in the first six months of the last financial year was $1.11m. There should be a significant reduction in the loss this year, and a figure anywhere near a break-even position could see a material correction to the share price.

AfriAg Global Plc (NEX: AFRI) announces that notice has been posted to shareholders convening a General Meeting of the Company to be held at 12.30pm on 12 September 2018 at the offices of Hill Dickinson LLP, 105 Jermyn Street, London, SW1Y 6EE.

Further to the announcement by the Company on 25 June 2018, a General Meeting is being convened to seek shareholder approval for the expansion of the Company’s investment strategy to include medicinal cannabis.

You only have to read the last two news releases from the company to know that they have finally turned the corner and are finally in an upward trajectory. The opportunity versus the current mkt cap tells you all you to know in my opinion.
