Total concluded the acquisition of Anadarko’s 26.5% interest in the Mozambique LNG project for $ 3.9 billion in September as part of its takeover of Anadarko’s Africa assets that included projects in Ghana and Algeria.
The firm said in September that the Mozambique project included the construction of a two-train liquefaction plant with a capacity of 12.9 million tons per year.
The firm has said 90% of Mozambique LNG was already sold under long-term contracts largely indexed to the oil price.

However, only a brief mention on AAAP/Comarco basically saying that whilst one of the Mozambique projects has been delayed, the Total project is up and running and will create 55,000 direct jobs. All of the Comarco craft are fully utilized at the moment and they could do with more.

News should be positive when we get it.

Expecting further news this week. The 'Long Stop' on the RTO expires at the end of this month, so I expect news there. Also, Comarco's results are due before the end of March if they wish to comply with the Main Market listing rules.

A trading update for the first half of the trading year would also be very informative as I believe the revenues for both the Port and the Logistics operations should be a lot higher than the corresponding period in the previous year.

The project appears to be progressing well and I am guessing that Comarco will have as much work as they can handle with being the leading marine and specialised contractor, with over forty years experience in the region, owning and operating its own private port, fleet of tugs, barges, supply vessels and specialised equipment for offshore, on shore, and beaching operations.

A bit of good news for a change:

David Orton, Gyrometric Systems Ltd CEO, and Ümit Sandikci, CEO of Gani Gemi ve Is Makinalari Tic. Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the CNR Eurasia Boat Show in Istanbul on the 24th February.

The memorandum marks the commencement of a sales agreement between the two companies where Gani will sell Gyrometric Products in Turkey, Greece and Israel.

Gyrometric develops and produces innovative digital monitoring systems for rotating drives and bearings. Gani will sell and install these products, first of all into the marine market, but also into power generation, cement manufacture, and railway industries.

This agreement is part of a new initiative by Gyrometric introducing its own disruptive technology into growing export markets.

David Orton said: “I believe we have chosen a really capable and enthusiastic partner for our expansion into an important new market”.

Comarco Kestrel has mobilised from the Comarco Port facility in Mombasa Kenya to Mozambique, having been chartered by an IOGP Major, to relocate infrastructure assets from Port Pemba and Mocimboa da Praia further North.
MDP is a port in northern Mozambique, lying on the Indian Ocean coast, located in Cabo Delgado Province, and is the forward operating base for the long awaited Rovuma Basin LNG construction and exploration projects.

Comarco Kestrel is a Landing Craft Unit with RORO capabilities, specialising in beaching manoeuvres on remote coastline and operating in shallow waters with tidal implications.

Comarco marine crew have vast experience and knowledge of the East African coastline and greater Indian Ocean, with a record of providing regional Marine Logistics spanning over 45 years.

Well, AAAP's results for the year are due this month, so I would expect to hear how Comarco have performed as well, plus an update on when the RTO is likely to happen.
