I am repeating what has been said, 'UT' is is NOT 'real' buys or sells but private broker book-balancing -ignore it completely. Pop might regard ACA as a small 'risk on' arbitrage punt, I bought CITY fibre & Spire in a similar vein - I always have a few of these sidebets but I have held TSCO over 20 years, I am a disciple not a clone.
my couple of hundred quid would be further dented by selling costs- I think ACA will be bought out for a lousy price in a about a years time - no selling costs. I have no objection to telling peeps what I buy & sell but timing does not exist for me, as a disciple of Buffett I like to hold forever. Looking to top up STOB,DRX NG. S32, ATM. GLEN are good already with the world's largest deposits of Cobolt. Surprised an old Hand like you didn't understand 'UT',BTW.
I also hold miners, South32 & GLEN (Cobolt story) as well & that's where the dregs from this dog with fleas will end up in about a years time I'm guessing, when the smoke clears, if there's anything left :(
Patelmo: I agree. Some posters seem to be ordering new shovels to deepen the holes the have dug themselves into. The Sunshine Boys keep their spirits up by referring to Good News just Around the Corner - based on the superlative news flow received so far this year, from the BOD, I suppose.
Shore Capital analyst Yuen Low said (of GLEN): "The legal dispute with the shifty DRC mining parastatal Gécamines has been resolved. Or put it another way, Gécamines has succeeded in extorting significant debt reduction, relief of certain exploration obligations plus a significant sum of cash." We have no voice in ACA affairs. I look forward to Big Brother Barrick selling ACA for peanuts - at least that would end this disgraceful situation & PE could then get on with a class action against Barrick for inappropriate behavior in taking our rights away to a say in our owncompany.
Relieved you are not WITless in a new guise- just a crazy old, ranting nutter riding a variety of hobby horses- good luck with the underwear sniffing :)
Why would Barrack pay a buck a share for a few cents worth of ACA? They ringfenced ACA to avoid any such obligations. Did it make sense for Mugabwe to drive the white farmers out & destroy the economy of Zim in a tidal wave of hyper inflation?? NO. But he did it anyway.
WGR, I think you are confusing the closing of a fulfilment center for Tesco direct, ( possibly 500 redundant jobs) with the nonexistent closure of 500 stores which will be news to most of us. Firing from the hip is WITless's speciality- are you his latest incarnation?
WITless says A&S will go through because of Tesco/Booker precident - but seems unaware Booker is a Wholesaler. His recent (3out of 30 posts) boast of making a fortune in SXX etc. Looks like BS. 😋
An apparent side effect of Asda/SBRY is that LIDL may have to disclose how much tax it pays in the UK. Strange that WIT has only recently started to boast of the fortune he has made in unnamed junior mining stocks, it is often said that a mine is a hole in the ground with a liar on top...
I agree. Asda/SBRY is same old m&a which seldom worked in the past & I bet will get derailed by the unions beforever investigation. If you are up on SBRY take the money & run. We got the game changer & 2 best brains to run it. 400/500/600p NOT impossible, IMO - our best days may be before us.
Your dough, your choice. Personally, I'm more interested in what you would NEVER sell, rather than your one night stands & attempts to read the future. The REAL gamble is having no real long term conviction holds,IMA.
I agree with Czarboy's comments, but in this particular case, City Am says 60 percent of shareholders have already accepted, presume that's major shareholders like N. Woodford etc.
