Mask testing29 Dec 2020 13:34
From RNS's:
Factory Acceptance Testing of the machine is due to take place later today, alongside this testing there will also be a batch of masks produced for certification purposes.
* certification is required for the production process and so separate certification processes are required for P2F's and Volz's production. Certification is now expected to be completed in the first week of January in both cases.
'the Company has now received and reviewed the detailed report on the new production line. The report indicates certain areas of the line that require refinement prior to delivery, including the process by which the machine is adjusted for different input materials. These adjustments are expected to be completed during the next week alongside the final component finishing work'
'While the machine was ready for loading as expected on 24th December'
If P2F used the machine whilst still at Lemu for producing masks for certification, we know the 5 ply mask failed breathability & some minor alterations were needed. If the machine was all boxed up ready for shipment on the 24th December, can we deduce that the minor alterations to the mask/machine were successful & subsequent masks produced passed certification to standard EN14683? If they haven't or as this recent RNS suggests the results are due in a few weeks...what if the masks still fail? I can't see P2F signing off a machine from Lemu if it's going to require further modifications in Nottingham due to the masks still failing EN14683
