I think Shabz is probably the more correct stanleyb in that they would be duty bound to notify the market there and then if they were aware of HMRC's updated position as it would be news deemed to be of significance. I cant personally see HMRC just willingly handing over what is it £45 million without exhausting all avenues to counter and avoid for it will have industry wide significance. Optimism that it was a win for THG has seemed to lifted and bred some stability into the share price. Just have to hope it stays that way and lifts further.

Given HMRC's recent court win yesterday against Michelle Mone and PPE Medpro and Rachel Reeves subsequent interview thereafter I'd say that HMRC will go all the way fighting its argument and to avoid willingly refunding. Theres a lot of money at stake and the Government has a supposed huge black hole to fill.

It should though keep adding to the interest payments on top should things finally conclude in favour of THG.

Why would I be salivating when I only pass through now and again and more damage done today by Moodys and others comments than any truth that I ever speak.

Give the market makers any reason to whack the THG share price and they do. Fact. Today a Moodys downgrade and even I have to agree with stanleyb's summary of why now given the recent improvements to THG's balance sheet.

So hence why invest when you can trade it with regularity.

That the 2 most recent pieces of good news @ THG can actually be attributed to others and nothing to do with the Strategy and Management of THG.

So they get into the FTSE250 - by default of another exiting and

So they might be in line for an HMRC refund - because the HMRC erred.

There is always a retrace with THG and last published numbers were really not good, the new concern of course being Beauty.

Bit of a fluke getting back into the FTSE 250 and somebody knew or had working it out in advance and rebalanced their positions ahead of public knowledge on this.

As for FTSE tracker buying you would think they will use alog's and every trick in the book to get what they need without overpaying.

Do we honestly think that given the price movements the last few days that somebody on the inside didn't know abut the potential for this happening and make a move or cover accordingly?

3 days ago that article and it won't bolster revenues, so it wasn't it that spiked the share price yesterday imvho.

MM not at his desk tbf was probably the catalyst although he is probably on another holiday.

Either that or it was the Market Makers's realising volumes had been drying up, and cut it some slack.

Shouldn't be too surprised at a bot of a retrace given yesterdays extraordinary rise on no real or apparent news.

Welcome though it was I and I think most have grown accumstomed to how THG gets played.
