There will always be cases, the vaccine reduces if not fully eliminates the seriousness of the infection to the individual. Thus reducing hospitalisations and deaths. So it doesn’t really matter if cases sit at 100,000 a day if the vaccine is doing it’s job properly. Easing of lockdown will inevitably lead to more cases. It’s if the numbers of hospitalisations/deaths increases that should be the trigger now. To the point that you may as well stop testing and stop reporting the number of cases once the vaccine program reaches everybody

@ B-B. If every other country is following the guidelines and administering the drug as told then their population will be protected so it won’t matter if anyone from the UK travels with mild symptoms after our vaccine program has been completed. Covid will still exist no matter how the vaccination program was implemented and as such any form of reduction in its severity on individuals is better than the current situation.

I rarely post on this forum but read the chat almost daily. I have been holding for about a year as well. Happy to hold and accept the risks. Convinced moral and financial rewards will arrive at some point. Knowing that we’ve invested in life changing research/science/cures that could change the lives of many is entirely satisfying no matter the outcome long term.
