My post was full of misleading narrative. I’ve no idea what kind of person Mr Smith is or what level of research he’s done. The point is, neither do you. There are plenty of investors here that know the risk, accept them and go about their business month after month without contributing to this board. I’ve only one question. If, as you say, the company urgently needs funds, would you risk £2.4 million pounds of your own money rather than wait another 6 weeks for funding clarity?

So he’s just spunked £2.4 million on a single company, having done no research, no due diligence and no understanding whatsoever about the company.

Historically, Vlad has been guilty of being too optimistic with time frames and when these ‘deadlines’ were missed it was used as a stick to beat him and annihilate the share price. I’d like to think he’s learnt those lessons and is unwilling to publicly commit to a defined roadmap as inevitably it’ll be incorrect from the moment it’s published. Often through no fault of his own.

The results tomorrow will be nothing short of spectacular.

Ok let’s discuss the article by travel and tour world. It smacks of sensationalism. If you drill down into the narrative, it predominantly focusses on a drop in March then a rebound towards the present day. Which happily coincides with the build, announcement and pause to Trumps tariffs. It even states that fares on only SOME routes have returned to pre pandemic 2019 levels. A year in which BA/IAG made €3.285 billion pounds profit. There is very little mention of BA apart from it looking at reducing/stopping unprofitable destinations, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Orlando which are predominantly leisure destinations outside of BA core business market. Frankly I’d expect an airline to constantly review and refine underperforming routes to maximise revenues and profits. But can you really take seriously any article that has a picture of two 737 at the front, grotesquely out of scale with each other and an Air France 777 with a BA livery tail fin. If they couldn’t be bothered to fact check the headline photo, why would you then believe the article content/research?

@JohnBriggs. I understand where you’re coming from but this is actually relevant data exchanging for once. I’m 100% confident on the data I’m quoting from my research and it’s good to debate possible outcomes so that we all can get a better picture of the companies direction. Although there are massive challenges ahead reference the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, BA core market has always been North America and is a market I’ve yet to see a let up in demand.

Not necessarily. Three BA configuration 777 have a similar seat capacity to two BA configuration 380. But in this instance, looking back a year, BA operated three flights to LAX a day in June 2024. 281 (777), 283 (777) and 269 (380). Which is exactly the same as they’re operating daily in June 2025

Maybe so. There are three BA flights to LAX from Heathrow on Thursday. Total of 977 seats on three aircraft and currently around 96% sold with a couple of days to go. That to me seems pretty busy. As I said originally, might be because fares are cheaper to entice people but the demand is certainly still there at the minute.

I do and have done my research and that research is way more in depth than simply looking around a plane. It includes real time data on passenger numbers and ticket prices

I’ve flown to US three times this month so 6 flights in total. On every single one, all premium cabins were full and maybe 10 seats free in economy. Does that qualify me as an ‘expert’? Just because I’ve not written a published article doesn’t mean my researched isn’t valid. There are plenty enough rich people in the world who are still willing to travel. BA in particular doesn’t make the majority of its money from economy passengers.

Thanks for the links. Couldn’t read the first article as needed a subscription. Second article focusses more on demand falling from Denmark, France and Germany. My experience of IAG flights to the US is that all premium cabins have been full. Might be partly to do with lower fares tempting more to travel. However I suspect it’s because the core US clients that BA fly seem to have emerged from Covid more affluent and less affected by the current global politics.

What source are you using to say US demand is weakening?

Your point being that there are plenty of feckless, work shy individuals in the UK who don’t work or won’t work and rely on the state to finance their existence. Whilst at the same time pouring scorn and jealousy on anyone who has bettered themselves by working. So no, I didn’t miss your point at all, I took exception to you saying that investing in stocks etc is working hard. It isn’t. If I win the euromillions I’d not claimed I’d done so through hard work. That is the point

No you’re right. You don’t need to prove it. But claiming an exponential increase in earnings due to the performance of stocks is not working hard.
