"We ended the quarter on a very strong note, with the best monthly production output from Vametco in more than 21 months. This reflects the initial work completed under the Transformation Programme, announced earlier this year, which resulted in improvements in several key areas of the flow sheet, including scheduling, feed grade and overall plant recoveries.

Here’s how this can happen. When markets rise, investors are often confident. They might increase the amount they’re investing every month. But when markets drop, many people get the jitters. They often sell when they shouldn’t, instead of riding out the storm. As a result, many investors buy high and sell low.""
We have had this discussion in the past.
But for me the JSE listing is all about institutional SA investors - a very good thing.
also - if they aim to list in Q3 - preliminary info will be released before that.
howler, thank you for your concern, but if I tell people that I am invested in a UK listed company they have a similar response about the dire situation over there
- so it is possibly best to seek out facts and respond to this
- SA is not the dire situation you have just painted, I assure you, sitting here in SA with first hand facts
- Eskom last had load shedding when Mozambique underwent a devastating cyclone and SA was not ready for the infrastructure damage casued
I am in no way saying Eskom is the picture of a well run company, but the irony is right now their situation has created a dream opportunity for BMN
I am an S.A resident and happy to be invested in BMN as I can see the company taking the huge opportunities presented by the current situation in my country.
Regarding the elections:
- Cyril Ramaphosa is the first glimmer of hope we have seen as a country in over a decade.
- together with task forces he has done more in the past year to actively fight corruption, with results, than all recent presidents after Mandela
- The ANC is all but certain to win the election and this is not an unwelcome outcome, although a DA led south Africa could be a thing of beauty - but this last point is just an opinion

...For example, January-March data from the National Bureau of Statistics released on April 17 put the total area of new housing where construction began during the quarter at 387 million sq metres, with the yearly growth rate jumping by 5.9 percentage points from January-February to 11.9% year on year.
Yearly growth of newly-launched housing of nearly 12% injected considerable confidence into the domestic steel sector as the growth was seen guaranteeing consumption would be good in the future. “Under such fast growth of newly-constructed housing, rebar consumption this year could increase 4%-5% from last year,” the Shanghai analyst suggested. China’s property market is the largest rebar user, consuming over 80% of all rebar produced annually.
