Hope you all had a nice Xmas. I have been watching Bitcoin rise to new highs over the break, also looking at any possible downturn. One possible one I found was algorithm Bitcoin uses in its mining process is called SHA-256 and a quantum computer of around 4000 qubits would break Bitcoin's code, that said the most powerful quantum computers available now is only about 50 qubits, the problem I have or concerns me is they say we are 10 years away, they also say Google (alphabet) are ahead of the field. If Google reached the 4000 qubits needed before mining ends in the next 10 years well I guess I need to buy Alphabet now with some of my profit.
