DYOR is always very important, while I thank you for warning others the fundamentals of investing (i.e dont put in what you cant afford to lose), you have made the comment several times now and one may start to question your motives should you continue. Do you mind if I ask if you are still invested here? If so, why? Given you don't seem to believe in where this share could go. And if not invested, why would you still be here?
Not trying to antagonize, just curious
Well, yesterday started well but see a bit of mud flinging from afternoon onwards. Intrepid, MGXYZ, Wilson and JimmyS, thank you for encouraging active constructive debate, interesting points of view. Think we could all benefit with soem more clarity from JD, I could look it up but taking an earlier point about honesty, does anyone have the date for the next AGM?
Impressive you manage to have an average of 2p Intrepid, wish mine was that low although I thought you said you bought in at like 5p in the past and presumably it hasnt been lower than that since?
Count, please dont try and start arguments for the sake of it (i.e girls night) it doesnt add value
Heres hoping,
Thanks for the informative post as well Mniy
Count, I do love your enthusiasm but try to resist replying to those who are only trying to antagonize, theyll soon stop if you stop replying. Also do heed some advice from Hitthetarget, we are all waiting news so lets focus on what we do know
Know how you feel, I bought in around 11 but keep topping up all the way up to 31 (unfortunately weighted more towards the upper end). Im happy to hold this for a long time though so as long as deals do come in, ill be content
Lets try and go a day without an insult or failing that, lets not respond to an insult, it only shows trolls for who they are. I think we can all agree we would rather just speak about the share
Good to see yes...but we have had plenty of these days where it has risen 10% on no news only for it to drop by the same amount over the next 2 days. Truly hope we do keep rising but trying to be more realistic at this time. Hope for a further rise tomorrow and obviously any good news via RNS
@helx, as someone who reads but rarely comments, I think its a shame that you have gone from so positive to so negative in a matter of months. I think that this was probably overvalued but with news flowing thick and fast at the time, it seemed like it was going to go a good bit further than the high 30s. Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you arent a ramper who sold then turned de-ramper, what is your suggestion other than repeating a similar message over and over. I used to genuinely enjoy reading yours, Early Bird, Girdz etc messages but with nothing new being said it does get a bit tiresome. I do recall a time when you said this should be back to the 30s by April and even a time when you are Count were getting along (must seem miles away now), seems like a massive personality change. I dont want to bury my head in the sand and I welcome differing opinions but it needs to be constructive and of value....same goes for anyone ramping without backing it up with details and reasons
Ive purchased my one share of Anglo.....now to wait and become a millionaire
Well im out, having held for almost 3 years (not as much as some of the LTHs on here) through ups and downs I finally decided to call it a day. Ive lost a fair amount on this but thats my own fault for letting emotion get the better of me and getting caught in a bit of a dream. I saw it as a great thing for the UK (the north especially) but seems this is an expensive lesson for me. I havent put in my life savings/pensions etc and still relatively young but admit its annoying when I spent so much time in profit (hindsight is a wonderful thing). Good luck to all the ones brave enough to hold
Nope it isnt, I was just pointing out people were talking ballpark figures (getting us back into the twenties etc) as opposed to exact figures but granted 3p can make a lot of difference
@swerv
somewhat inclined to agree with this, still holding and see this more of a longer term hold than maybe initially thought
well to be fair he said basically at 25p, taking 3 days at 20% (unlikely of course) and starting at say 13p would get you to over 22p
Literally what JD said he was going to do, heads down and deliver.....can people just relax for a bit
Well thats why its dangerous if it rises too quick, im sure a lot would sell if it shot up to 80P/£1. If it slowly makes it way there, with a steady stream of increasing revenue and positive news then more will hold in the hopes of going higher
I agree its not great that it has dropped but fundamentally nothing has changed and all recent RNS's (minus the director sells) have all been very positive and encouraging. Im very much a long term holder so curious why people who might claim to be as well are saying they are losing their patience, as amazing as it would be, did we think it would be 80p/£1+ by now? Of course not, just relax unless anything major happens, its all your noise at the moment
I believe I remember reading somewhere that the staff do have this as an option but perhaps someone can back this up?
I agree, although obviously with my holding perhaps im a bit biased.
My average is 19.6 and I have held for coming on 2 years and have not sold a share, dont see any point selling them now.
Honestly at this point, I would be happy with any profit but like you said hopefully its too big to fail and perhaps we just need to wait that little bit longer
Go big or go home
Hi,
How did you calculate those? Asking out of curiosity, not challenging FYI
Any profit made in your ISA is tax free although you are only allowed to pay into one shares ISA per tax year and you can only pay in a certain amount (cant remember the figure, but was either 15k or 20k).
So yes as long as you havent paid into another Shares ISA since April 2019 then any money you make from Bids is tax free
