YTB - I am doing nothing to try and get it lower. I am stating that I am holding cash ready to invest in CPI. My personal opinion is that the SP will fall from here over the next 4 weeks and I will buy - 270 was a great buying opportunity but cash was elsewhere. Im thinking 200s will be seen again soon and its thats within 2-3 weeks I will be jumping in as Ive taken some cash out of Sage at a decent profit and have decent profits in BAE that I will also liquidate to purchase CPI if it goes into 200s

None of us know, but have a strategy - if youre holding one share and think it is going to rise 5% in a week and see another share that you think will rise 10% then sell the one and buy the other!

I thought CPI would fall to 335 when it was 390 so I sold - so even if I buy again at 390, ive not lost anything as Ive used that cash to make money elsewhere. BUT if I buy CPI at 350 I have 10% more shares and the trading profit by selling at 390

Its just following the markets and having invested in CPI for 6 yrs, Ive not seen shorts get it wrong yet!

YTB - the market is expected to crash at some point, but dont fool yourself that the shorts are at this level (and increasing) just on that - CPI is a company that they have always been able to drag the price down on and because of this, i still feel that over the next 3 weeks we will see 260's again (subject to no serious news)

CPI drops and rises by 10% in a day on nothing - sometimes not even on volume - the MMs need trades and they make a market.

I also believe that CPI is worth 50p old money - but that has nothing to do with buying and selling my shares - i still have a small holding in my SIPP that i forgot to sell with all my trading sales (ISA and Trading acct) when we got to 400

Most people that have researched CPI know its greatly undervalued - but that doesnt mean it will jump to 800 or 1200 quickly - the market doesnt work like that

The shorts against CPI, IMHO, will still be over 4% when we get H1 results and I am expecting decent results and will be back in for them with 60-80 grand, but I dont see buying now as good use of money

7.65% is now very high - this is surprising but there is real time to drift before Aug 4 results for H1.

Its gonna be an interesting month - Sage Qtr results is July 29 and that is now looking like it will rise to 900 before month end. Hopefully a decent jump at month end and sell at nice profit before CPI results that I expect will be good and see a push over 400 again

Nice rise today but need to hold 840 another day to suggest breakout is on. Seems like a desperate attempt by Ako Capital to up their short (0.03%) to disclosure level yesterday - they will probably look to close as trading for qtr will be announced 29 July.

Expect further increase in revenue and strong results and more on AI implementation and for SP to break 920.

10% from here in a month is a good buy! But this will run onto 1050 quickly after IMHO

Savage - dont think 225 will happen but 250 something is very possible (but who knows)

YTeeBack - you are being too optimistic - CPI gets hammered regularly - not selling out to buy back when shorts came in, is a you problem - willing it back up now is hope not a strategy - I think we will stay low for another 4 weeks minimum, but if it starts to move, then I will buy here

The great thing about CPI is that I believe its a 4 bagger from here, so missing a 5-10% rise from here isnt going to break the bank as weve seen it drop from 400 to 280!

However, Aim has traded this stock for a long time and knows very well when its a good time to buy and a good time to sell

250 is only 13% away - so 250 is definitely a possibility.

YTB, I dont think shorts will be out within 4 weeks - there maybe a reduction, but i expect them to still be over 4% on 1 August.

CPI don't usually provide H1 update until well into Aug. This year I think they will be pushing to the sale to complete before the H1 Results so maybe even later in August. IMHO, shorts wont close before results but I do think they will reduce

More this goes down the better for me - being in profit on Sage I can sell all of those easily due to the size of sage without affecting the price and buy CPI quickly when ready, but it wont surprise me if SP is still only 300 when results come out

@Kipper9 you may well be correct with your 250/280 target - there is probably 6 weeks before we get H1 update (although we could get a brief one this week?)

There is every chance that in a month or so the shorts will be looking to close and will have to purchase 7% of the comoany to do so - this is a big reason that SP moves so quickly when it starts - 10% days are possible on no news

Im hoping it stay nice and low until Sage hits 900 (or more) before their trading update (likely 30 July) where 900-1000 is absolutely possible. Then I can get back into CPI before shorts need to reduce or close

Close over 820 today and tmrw and we have a chance at over 840 by Friday. Then we will know that seller is likely out and new II is in or added

Defended the lows again - now we need to see a few days close above 820 then over 840

If we can close over 840 next Friday we will likely get a TR1 holding notice of someone selling but another buying. Seems to have been accumulation from someone that wanted out or readjusting.

Wow Brian - sorry to read that. So frustrating. When its your money and you cant access it.

It will be back over 400 by Sept. No too long to go but sadly you've missed the chance to take profit and reinvest for more.

Will be plenty more opportunities with this share - shorters love to play it as they know there is so much negativity around Capita. BUT fundamentals are good and when the results back up all the forward looking statements, 400 will be a great price to buy in

Glad its working out as I had hoped - CPI dropped from my sell (390) and holding low - hope it stays at or lower this price for another month or more would be great.

Sage starting to recover and I'm in profit with 75k invested - looking for a decent return before CPI gets going and shoots past the 400 mark again.

Short increasing in CPI so hope it will now go to 275 or lower - exciting!

Close to FTSE losses today on very large volume - but tmrw morning is when settlements take place so lots of transactions on FTSE companies printed late

Bounce 25p off the lows - hopefully by Wednesday we will have a indication of where we should be in a few weeks time

Tomorrow is triple witching hour so liquidity is essential - some of the late reported very large transactions we have seen after close on a few FTSE100 companies is likely for this.

Really hoping for a good bounce back tomorrow to end 820-830 range, then we need to get over 850. Still confident of 870-900 within the month, but we should know more by tuesday or Wednesday next week

So, we tested again the 793 area and bounced off it on high volume. Is that a double bottom?

We need to see recovery to 830-850. IIs likely defended 793 so lets see where next few days take us.

Well, that didnt pan out!

Anyway thankfully the trade I bought (20k at 798) last week I took 3% on it and today bought it again at 799. So 600 quid made in a couple of days and hope to do same tmrw!

Anyway, few big sells gone through, but lots of buyers at under 800. With FTSE down 1,2% its not a concern for SAGE just an opportunity to make some extra profit quickly - still think 860-900 in 3 weeks time unless the whole market collapses

I put 10k into SEE a few yrs back in the hope of a sale of the business at some point - Ive watched the share sit at about a 40% loss to me but dont take much interest other than that - so seeing a 10% climb is nice and reading the posts from many of you that clearly know the business pretty well, Im glad to read that some / most still see the buyout as a reasonable medium term option.

Maybe I will get my original investment back after all!
