Podcast on HUN6 Feb 2015 10:03
I won't post the link as I know many people are somewhat allergic to Tom Winnifrith. However, the first 5-10 mins of his 5th Feb podcast on the SP website is dedicated to Hunter Resources and the context of the recent RNS and SP movement. Have a listen for his thoughts on market dynamics.
He makes the (valid but obvious) point that a microcap explorer like HUN will need to raise some more cash at some point to fund operations - looking at the balance sheet tells you that. That's no surprise for a junior explorer, its how they work. More controversially though he then speculates that the (cough) "enthusiastic" RNS is an attempt to bolster the SP prior to a future placing (eg they didn't give the grades for all the samples, they just cherry-picked the best ones). Given the small size of HUN such a placing could really only happen at a discount broker, who would set the placing at a discount to the recent SP. Hence attempts to bolster the SP.
You may also like to consider the leaking of the news of the upcoming RNS and the subsequent pre-RNS promotion of HUN on twitter in this context.
He also suggest that some more naughty activities may have taken place - again, listen to the podcast, I couldn't possibly comment.
