39.25kbod at ceiling $77, for 2022 at premium $2/bbl. Anticipated production 2022 in or around 68kbod, depending on drilling and no complications in jubilee SD in March. About 13% more production than 2021, with exposure to higher oil prices hopefully
First of all tommie, the figures for vaccinated are inflated world wide, it's part of the psychology of getting everyone to take this thing. And secondly, it's a cold for most people anyway. The figures about hospital etc are skewed by the inflation and the fact that some people are simply too sick/old to participate. Omicron is a cold, nothing more. Much milder than flu
To limit the long term with a smaller FPSO would be insane, but they can cut back on subsurface and wait for production to flow allowing a phased implementation of production. There wont be huge savings in that to first oil. Unless they are looking at a repurposed/used FPSO option or some other arrangement. That's possible for a few years I suppose
I the the chances of development just jumped to 100%, you see some countries are quite smart and others not so. Oil is not fashionable, but think about things without it. Last year, during the height of covid mania the demand dropped 12mbod, at maximum. Which means that vast majority of it isnt used in transportation. Its everything else. I used to buy the idea of stranded assets, but that applies to very small fields, not a area with almost a billion barrels that's not fully explored yet. This share is going to make people money in 3 to 5 years, and at these prices if you have a couple grand you can forget about for several years, you could do a lot worse than on this
I think mm are simply playing low volume trick with this, the shorts arent doing anything. Magic number 42. And we are going to be pegged here till there is a good news or (bad). Anyway, this is about patience now. Will take 2 to 3 years in my opinion to turn this around. For this to happen debt needs to reduce by 30% and production increase by 20 - 30%. Thst being said, oil needs to be around 65-70$/bbl.
