I don't know much about cairn but I had a quick look at production and financials. Its linked to pmo via an outperforming catcher and enquest via under performing kraken although its improving a lot over last 8 months or so. 23kbod + some gas.

Financially it doesnt have much drawn debt, I think 58million from 585 rcf. Have I missed something.

Why are they susceptible like tlw and pmo.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that, Russia set itself up over past few years for a financial war, ie with shale. SA is different story, they will be feeling the pain daily. The self off over CV is just a perfect time to strike. We will see shale production declines accelerate now, as shale projections are higher than actual. 13.1 is bogus projection. Actual will show decline. Watch rigs closely now particularly the shale patch but everywhere will drop but I expect shale to be heavily impacted. So lower price, lower production and the veil will come of quickly. But it's going to take time, not months.

It will be interesting to see if the same managers are instructed to March oil up as its conceivable they have the ability to do that based on their ability to walk oil down several times over the past few years.

Barring them removing way in excess of what was deemed necessary stabilizing price was not going to happen.
