O&G companies are laying off people at a rapid rate and there will be no O&G in the Northsea to fill the coffers at this rate.

Unfortunately, companies like Shell will ditch the UK for better / more stable tax regimes in overseas locations and the UK will be on its Ar$e with very little revenues coming in, wonder where all the billions will come from to pay the UK's ever increasing debt pile and find the cash for its net zero ambitions - Sunak & Co have made their bed and better start topping up the social fund for all the people that will be unemployed!

Lead baloon, great timing for share reduction and the Government killing off the North Sea to keep the greens happy - is the Government going to invest billions in a diverse power generation and technology development, i dont think so, they dont have a pot to P155 in so the UK nation will all pay the price!

Hopefully the share reduction gives us a bit of steam to move forward, out of the penny share brigade arena and multibag but it feels like groundhog day since 2014, rinse and repeat and the PI's are normally the ones getting rinsed.

Hopefully we get news on future appraisal / exploration wells but a FDP will take time (5yrs) and will take a lot of Cash burn. Hopefully another partner comes in to accelerate for a free carry!

The Main stream media are poison, all this chat about Shell & BP making all that horrible billions in profits, what the man on the street doesn’t know is them profits are not made here in the UK or very little and Mr Government will try their damdest to kill the O&G in the UK, but they people just see the big number being touted by the MSM’s…they should maybe take a leaf out of Norways book, they did not let the yanks take all their assets and now they have a wide portfolio of energy and a thriving economy!

Hopefully this project meets Shells IRR after being shafted by the Government which I suspect is >1.5 IRR on their investment and flies through their stage gate process and happy days for all the LTH, if it’s marginal, it will get dumped im afraid!
