Dose. I think there is a lot of factors in play here. Ecuadorian gov't policy is what I think is holding up both PEA and further drill results. PDAC presentation by minister said he thought the regs would have been published by March 1st but now thought it would be by next week. Who knows if that actually happens or we have to wait. I believe the PEA is being held back until there is more clarity from Govt. This however is just my opinion and not based on anything other than my reading between the lines of presentations I watched at PDAC.
maybe that's what it is. Once put on PSC register what does that obligate them to??
thanks Quady
Ok boys/girls... enough bickering ... different opinions good/bad are always welcome by me. I wish I'd listened to some of the negative banter on Concordia healthcare. Got smacked hard on that one.
Anyway .. If Newcrest or BHP acquire more than 25% I believe there are some regulations on LSE.? Is anyone aware of what happens in this instance. ??
Please share
Owning 25% of shares of a listed company on LSE has some regulations around it.?? Anyone familiar with what that means please share
anna was in Toronto. Saw her by nm's side
So the way I'm reading this. Cascabel in an enormous resource. A no brainer in regards to the size of the deposit. So what are we waiting for??
It's all about Gov't stability. The Ecuadorian gov't has to show that it's policies are sound and able to sustain changes in leadership and parties. When the investment community believes this we will be off to the races. I think the Gov't is aware of this and will address this next week in their policy announcements as it moves forward with it's goal of 4% of GDP.
GLTA
I'd say the probability of Solg taking Cascabel to even a feasibility study is almost zero. The complexity and $$ involved are far too great. I'm no longer guessing on timing but it's got to be on many majors radar at the moment.
Ecuador will be releasing final mining regulations next week. I think all news is on hold until this is released. I think we will see a flurry of releases after Ecuador releases.
Savshare.. I couldn't make this one but will try and find someone who went.
Smlacorns.. My perception is that Gov't of Ecuador is hell bent on getting mining to add 4% to GDP. To do this they will have to make it worthwhile for the majors to invest in their country. They will be coming out with a detailed plan within 2 weeks that will give more clarity to miners and investors. I believe news may be on hold until this policy in regards to mining is released. Probably next week sometime.
Wso. A enjoy reading your opinions and value your input. Please continue.

thats correct Hesiod. He mentioned it in his speech that many times
NM was far more upbeat than other times I have seen him speak. He emphasized that "Cascabel resource was Tier 1 and STILL GROWING LARGER" at least twice and maybe 3 times. His speech was really geared towards his team and how exceptional and hard working they are. Really emphasizing their contribution to Ecuador, its economy and the positive impact that Cascabel has had and will continue to have.
I was very impressed by his direction and how his emphasis was clearly on his team as the real "miners of the year."
My gut feel was SOLG may be waiting for new GOVT mining statement and regulations which should be out in next 2 weeks. I just thought it odd that Ecuadorian minister said he originally expected it out March 1 but now expects it to be out within 2 weeks. I would think SOLG would wait to make sure any changes in policy would be accounted for in PEA. That was my gut feel as soon as I heard the minister say this.
My price is 1.35p btw
Ecuador day highlights
- Govt to come out with some new improved mining regulations withing the next 2 weeks
- Govt to streamline permitting during Q2. March 8 there will be new online applications for some permits
- NM presented that PEA will be out very soon and be extremely detailed. More so than originally planned.
- NM's presentation was supposed to be Jason but NM did it instead. Very impressive with him emphasizing his team and how impressive they are. Also his detail about Ecuador's people benefiting from SOLG's presence.
- Room was 95% full.
- All in room quite bullish on Ecuador and it's buy in on foreign investment for their economy
WSO..... I'll bet you went to bed giggling..... sweet dreams lad... I enjoyed your wine brain
My prediction of PEA is now down to one day??? Wtf... I thought I nailed it!!!
