I assume that the BOD are in a closed period if acquisition negotiations are taking place. Can anyone else confirm my understanding.

I tried to prise an acquisition timescale out of Alastair, to no avail. I suggested before year end, and he promptly replied most definitely. He stated that he thought I would be very happy with the outcome. I asked about the half year cash balance. They stated it was £3M.
Just left AGM. Get a really warm feeling that this BOD will deliver.
Chris....do you still use your gmail.com account?
Hi fellow posters I take it by the SP that we have not struck oil yet? Anyway, wishing you all a great Xmas and happy new year, and please let’s have a more friendly posting year in 2019, what ever happens with AEX. Life is too short. God bless the Captain.
Whilst you are on the subject of the EGM, when it was first announced that AEX were in talks with the Zubs for a possible farm out, there were a few posts stating that 30% of AEX shareholders (Eclipse) would not be able to vote due to being a interested party (part of the Zubs group). Then Jay states in an interview that Eclipse CAN vote at the EGM. This seems to have gone unchallenged from PIs. Has anyone checked to see if this is legal on the main market?
I am not too concerned with regards to the farm out, but what I am concerned about is whether Eclipse are allowed to vote if the Zubs decide to take AEX private. Does anyone have any factual knowledge on the process? Just a concern as the SP is below 2p.
Ex-chairman Neil Ritson is waiting in the wings to be asked. He could help bring the SP down to 1p for a Zubs take-over, after a couple of years of dilution developing Nyuni. Jay needs a scapegoat. Perfect match.
Exactly, down to news and timing. Cheers Chris
Chris....just quickly reviewed the RNS. Am I correct in that we have up to 6th Sept to decide if we would like to take up the open offer?
Newinthis....... that was NRs preference to sell after NT3/C1. He is not the chairman anymore. All options are on the table now.
Dunder..... I apologise for my comment the other evening. But sometimes your posts, especially the ones demanding an apology or for a repost of a question, can become a little irritating at times, which is a shame as the useful info you post, becomes lost. Do not get painted with the same brush as the Red Indian. Best of luck.
Trrime... I agree and I think $50m would be fair value based on our investment spent to date and discovered gas. The buyer would need another max $35m for development, but payback would only take 4-5 years (worst case). From then on it should be 90+% profit from gas sales at $40m per annum. Even if the gas runs out after 10 years, it is still a good return and that does not take into account any OIL discovery.
Another point that was mentioned during the AGM was that Alastair stated that he did browse the BBs to gauge sentiment as part of his due diligence process. He seemed keen to meet/interact with PIs on an individual basis. Not sure how that would work. Perhaps regular meetings with the Action Group?
Hey Rxdav.... I have just come across an SP Predicting Machine for £45. It could be useful to you for the timing of purchasing AEX shares. I can send you the link if you like. You can keep it next to your X-RAY specs.
Have a good one
