Looks like the 340-350p range will be tested this afternoon!

I think there is a high probability of a takeover, however we may see the SP falling further before heads start to turn and takeover hats are thrown into the ring. I believe the interest point to start from would be around 250p p.s. and this price level may rear its ugly head as early as next week, before Thursday.

Obviously, if this plays out it will leave an extremely bad taste in the mouth for those who currently have positions which are likely to be heavily underwater. The upside if this plays out is that the shares could then accelerate forward, to what level though is the million dollar question.

There is a strong possibility stake building may continue, a wind of change appears to have moved through the SP this morning, one must decide - is it better to be onboard the ASOS train or just sit on the station platform. If you are in the former camp you can rest assured that some of the retail investment world heavyweights are in your company and sitting with you in the 1st class coach.

Fraser Group sees value in ASOS, they would not be increasing unless it was worth their while. Good pick-up in the SP since before noon, which demonstrates how fast this SP can move. Those on the side lines (who are not invested) beware, as you may miss the boat when this tick's up rapidly.

Knowbody, I think you will be proven wrong and 'Happy' makes some good points here. There are 1 or 2 news stories out there published in the last 20 hours from second rate financial news pages online, but would you trust their comments.....no chance!

Money - My view is that once the 418p level is reached which could be very soon the price could appreciate dramatically within a short period of time, Even those who bought in the placing would be tempted to hold on longer in this climate based on 'potential' renewed interest again. Based on a risk/reward perspective.

The news in the press over the weekend and even today (https://www.standard.co.uk/business/business-news/asos-shares-jump-after-reported-ps1bn-bid-from-turkish-rival-b1085562.html) will only add fuel to renewed interest in ASOS. Investors now know the approach in December would have been valued at at circa £10-12 per share, 6 months on the shares are now at a significant discount it would not surprise me if the shares in the short term appreciate to around £7 per share, with short term being this month! We have another interesting week ahead of us.

If we are above the 350p level at close of play today, which looks likely - this will provide a foundation for SP momentum next week. Placing is now concluded and markets in general are now more bullish, investors will in turn be seeking out 'value' propositions and in the retail sector ASOS in particular is being seen as a strong medium term recovery play.

In the U.S - the potential default on U.S. debt repayments has been averted by Congress, this should settle the markets on both sides of the Atlantic (we will have to see what happens in 2025 though).

We have another busy day to get through before the weekend but the signs are good for ASOS to benefit from an uptick today. I would also expect this to reflect positively on Boohoo for those out there who have positions in both.

If SP remains as is until close, then not a bad day. It's just going to take some time for the dust to settle on recent events. The recovery though starts from now.

Technical charts suggest we now have momentum with us

We may have a lower support level at just over 330p, which we should interpret as good news.

It probably will go lower, although can't really see it under 300p, but we could see it around this level before the weekend.

He probably felt he could not contribute to the business any further moving forward, we need to see this as a positive for ASOS as there are areas where improvements need to be made to bring things back on track and this starts with having the right people in key roles.

I can't see this falling below 300p and would expect to see some sort of bounce from a 300-320p range. If I'm wrong and it fell sub 300p then we have serious problems and the rot could seriously set in and a 200-300p range could be the next big talking point - then we are in takeover territory.

SP bobbing around yesterday's close, although I suspect we may finish again at similar levels, there is some good market sentiment out there now which will be reflected in the SP in due course.

I'll take 600p not to be sniffed at, as a starting reference point.
