No, 'may be' is synonymous with 'can be'. It implies there's a choice. Basic english comprehension.

Thanks pokerchips, just seemed a bit out of the ordinary for this share, it's been holding up really well during recent sell offs so was surprised to see it fall back. Anyway, I picked up a few more so all good.

Last week wasn't a normal company update, it was informing the market that they had made a scientific breakthrough in understanding the mechanisms of autoimmune diseases. It benefits the company because it improves diagnosis and efficacy of their products but it also benefits science and the entire auto-immune research community and that's really quite a significant thing!

I'm not convinced an S&P 500 tracker is the best option at the moment, not after 2 years of meteoric rises, maybe something broader like the world index would be a safer bet, imo

Tiger - Let's see, I'm not expecting anything from this conference but who knows. Just think it's better to be realistic/pessimistic about timescales, to avoid disappointment.

We agree completely on the potential for the company and the likelihood of realising it, it's just a matter of when.

Don't hold your breath, there's almost certainly not going to be a deal over the weekend. Things take time, I'm expecting weeks, probably months, before we have transformational news. In any case, I wouldn't expect a deal to get done at a conference, they're generally more about marketing and networking. I'm sure they'll have some interesting conversations but I don't imagine anybody will be signing contracts and writing cheques.

Happy to hold and wait.

Indeed, this isn't even back to where it was a couple of years ago and now they have made significant progress with the first effective and safe drugs addressing two £multi-billion markets, as well as discovering a new mechanism for auto-immune diseases that will further improve diagnostics and efficacy. And on top of that they require no funding and are in advanced talks with leading pharmacos. This has got a lot further to go!
