Don't the figures provided by SS in his letter to Jeremy Hunt provide a valuation of Loxley of between 43-70 x £15 = £645m-£1,050m?

Front-page article headlined: "Johnson turns his back on green agenda".

UKOG isn't itself mentioned, but "Last week it (the government) granted permission for gas drilling to start in rural Surrey in the constituency of Jeremy Hunt, a leadership rival to the prime minister".

Alok Sharma's unit numbered 220 staff in November and is now down to about 70.

The Sunday Times writes of "echoes" of Cameron's government in 2013 "when the then PM ordered his aides to abandon 'green crap' despite committing to the greenest government ever".

If all goes well, Loxley should be worth, imho, multiples of the current market cap.

Loxley is an asset of potentially much greater value than UKOG's current market cap.

Its implications are for the medium and long term.

Hopefully, the short term money invested in UKOG for the SoS's appeal decision will be replaced by medium and longer term money.

Fair enough, Ninetails, but the emphasis in your posts is on getting out after the spike, there is no mention of getting in before it, hence my surprise that you bought some UKOG for your grandson before it.

One can take advantage of a spike by selling, I hadn't realised that, in your case, you meant you would be buying ahead of the spike.

Are you sure, Ninetails? there are no trades recorded at 0.14p just before the bell (there were some very small trades at 0.145p, the biggest of which was for £114).

UKOG is rich in ideas and in projects and poor in cash.

A poster very recently posted an article suggesting that private equity is taking a closer look at the energy sector because it seems to be undervalued in the public markets and offers a potentially rewarding investment opportunity.

Do wonder if a cash-rich investor might not be interested to take, say, a 20% stake in UKOG with a view to the long term.

At the present time, that would be an investment of about £6m, which is exactly the amount some core investors - essentially family offices - are in the process of investing in Angus.

Jeremy Hunt is currently on the back benches and in a position to act exclusively as a constituency MP.

Should his situation change - far from impossible given the political situation - and he take on national responsibilities, then the likelihood is he will find himself in large agreement with SS's arguments.

Angus are really getting to the important strokes now as the commissioning experts take over on site. The date for first gas remains as in about 10 days time which is entirely satisfactory and makes the recent acquisition of more of the project an inspired move.

With a side-track well now seemingly on for the end of July shareholders can genuinely look forward to substantial, profitable growth and a great deal of upside in the share price.

Due to the projected decline of current UK gas production, during 2035-2050 CCC’s scenarios predict
that gas import dependency could grow from its current 50% to 60-81% of demand. At today’s market
prices such imports would represent a staggering £1 trillion balance of payments deficit to the UK.

Ouch, that won't be paid for in GBP, that won't do the currency any good at all.

A lot of the extremely time-consuming and expensive preliminary work has been done. There are no anchor shareholders, so the share capital is wide open.

PS: what one doesn't want is a cash-rich buyer coming in and gobbling up these projects before shareholders have been able to benefit from them.

with Basur-Resan, HH and Loxley all set up for development in the short/medium term.
