The one thing that is certain is that the bid price ticked up after they went through.

The obvious conclusion, therefore, is that they were buys.

The subsequent price action was that the bid price ticked up from 0.20p to 0.25p.

As I indicated in my post of 15:05 below,

To have bought 100m shares at 0.25p was expertly done.

Was the buyer an experienced PI, a financial boutique or of another profile?

Having bought 100m shares, will the buyer stop there?

In retrospect, it looks as if there may have been a stock overhang of, say, 100m shares which somebody decided to mop up as cheaply as possible.

That is a question you would need to put to the market makers (who will not provide you with an answer).

You have no idea what stock the market makers were carrying on their books when these trades were executed.

Presumably, they had no immediate effect on the price because the market makers had access to the corresponding supply at the time the buys were made.

Article on Bloomberg's front page, "In Europe's gas market, enough may not be enough".

European storage achieved 90% of capacity some time ago, but this was principally due to a mild Winter last year.

More recently, Europe finds itself in stiff competition with Asia for LNG deliveries.

Continuing concern about what happens to remaining Russian gas deliveries to certain European countries through Ukraine when the current contract expires at the end of this year.

Concern that the coming Winter may be harsher than last year.
