Think the move could imply a consolidation of its current stakes &/or a shake-up of the HHDL consortium, but this is pure speculation on my part. Doubtless, all will become clearer in the fullness of time!

Any AIM company which has as its primary business or objective, the investing of its funds in securities, businesses or assets of any description (from Glossary of AIM rules for Companies Jan 2018). "This CPR, the first evaluation of UKOG's entire conventional asset base, is an important company milestone and amply demonstrates the substantial growth created in the Company's four years as an Oil & Gas investing company...". Not sure this isn't the key message from the 7am RNS, that UKOG is giving serious consideration to drawing a line under its status as an "investing company".

Don't forget, re: "the circa $300 million owed for export sales marketed by SOMO made before 2014, for which the Company has never recognised revenue ('overdue pre-2014 receivable')", this figure was not recorded in Genel's books, so any amount recovered against that figure is profit to Genel.
