it's hard to sympathise with tullow's stance. they are acting like a tax collector for the ug govt. what a cheek! i wouldn't be happy if a third-party busybody paid money to the govt on my behalf and then sued me for not paying my tax! http://www.cityam.com/article/judge-urges-settlement-tullow-oil-case "A HIGH Court judge yesterday warned Tullow Oil that pigs would fly before Uganda repaid the oil firm $313m that is at the centre of a bitter dispute. Tullow is suing its former partner Heritage Oil for the money, claiming it was forced to pay its rival’s Ugandan tax bill. Justice Burton urged both sides to try to find another way to settle the case." http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/03/12/tullow-heritage-uganda-idUKL6N0C4G6820130312 ' "From early in 2010, Tullow was engaged in discussions of a questionable nature with Ugandan government officials," Heritage's lawyer Khawar Qureshi told the court of Mr Justice Burton in his opening statement on Tuesday. "The collusion took several forms. It was continuous and extensive", he said, "...and all behind the back of Heritage". Tullow's lawyer David Wolfson on Tuesday called the Heritage position alleging collusion "creative, but incorrect" and said his case would hinge on showing that advice on Ugandan law that Tullow should pay up was "honestly held". '
Their is a write up on the case in the Irish Times, (today 13/03/2013) sorry i cant find the on line ver of same, i will post some of the report later

Greencore Group plc ("Greencore") today announces that it has acquired International Cuisine Limited ("ICL"), a private label chilled ready meal business, from the Hain Daniels Group in the UK. ICL's ready meal facility is based in Consett (County Durham) and the majority of its revenue (approximately £45m) is derived from several existing Greencore ready meal customers. The acquired facility will also provide additional capacity for Greencore in the ready meals category in the UK, which continues to show strong growth. The gross assets acquired were £16.7m. The transaction will be funded from existing debt facilities and will have a minimal impact on the Group's leverage which we still anticipate will remain below 3.0 times at end September 2012 on a net debt to EBITDA basis.
