The preparation work of the wash plant undergoing in-depth testing and sample processing, was envisaged to last approximately two weeks (from 25 Feb RNS), to ensure it could work at maximum efficiency and maximise the recovery of metallurgical coal. When it comes on line we will no longer be selling unwashed coal to our off take partner, increasing our profit margins. Also the second high wall miner is expected to be deployed before Q2. That’s when the next ‘spike’ in SP will occur in my opinion.
I think MM anticipated the demand for BEN once these updates are confirmed and dropped the price yesterday to trigger some stop loss orders and hoover up some shares. GLA

Wouldn’t surprise me to see it suddenly tick up right at the end of the day. MM probably holding it back to fill some large orders.Good spot iceman.

I sincerely hope air comes good here for everyone still invested. I’m very happy with my decision to switch away as I’ve more than made up my considerable losses here and have multi bagged in Ben (up another 5% today so far).

So anyone getting close to having to declare their holding? - I wish! ;-)

What would it do to the SP if an institutional investor or interested party (possible takeover?) were to be accumulating BEN shares? This is pure speculation on my part (and I know I don’t need to ramp BEN as the fundamentals here speak for the investment case themselves) I am also aware these Total Voting Rights RNS’s get issued periodically and it doesn’t mean anything is afoot, but I’m about to sleep and I like to dream.GLA

Thanks for the advice Mark. To a certain extent my questions were rhetorical - just after another’s viewpoint. I was a Captain in the Army and born Scottish hence feeling an affinity to Captain Haggis - I’m aware he could be a she or a paid poster. Anyone making investment decisions should do their own research and ‘take with a pinch of salt’ what is said by anyone on these chat boards. I’m very pleased to have decided early on to get aboard the BEN train and that was based on the potential I identified here, potential that I believe has not yet been fully realised. Having topped up along the way (averaging up) Im still showing as being up over 70%. Good luck with your investments.

Hi Captain forgive me for saying but we seem to be in very similar positions wondering how any other share could match BEN’s performance to date and if it continues (which there is no reason to doubt and every reason to expect it will), do we just keep on holding and reap the rewards? Is it that simple? My personal opinion is yes hold tight and enjoy the ride. BEN has been my best performing share and is my major holding. I also hold a small amount of CGO but I might look to sell there and add to BEN (obviously not advice to you or anyone else as going all in is not a recommended investment strategy for any share -usually!) ATB

Very few safe havens for investing in current climate but BEN seems a sure bet. Adam delivering on his plans to grow the company, won’t be too long until the revenue increases and dividends are declared!

There’s a possibility there will be an increased demand for steel used in war fighting machinery and rebuilding.

It’s not wrong to take a profit but I’m holding and will add on the dips. Much more good news to come.

SP Seems to have bounced back.

Obviously if a takeover was on the cards having the SP at these bargain basement prices would help.

Genghis15 appreciate your response. I agree it would not be the preferred option as it would be costly as any investor would want a decent return on their sizeable investment but I only put this forward as one possible capex option to enable CGO to start to make money. The sensible thing would be to have some time limit (say after two years or after so much production) after this giving CGO the option of buying the institutional investor (who has funded them a coke battery) out. A win win.

You would think an option that could be considered is an institutional investor funding a coke battery on a percentage of profits based on the met coke produced? A bit like the public private partnerships that allowed infrastructure to be built and used by government organisations?

I’m no expert but Carl did say the Chinese were initially happy that CGO were mining as they saw CGO as suppliers for their own coke producing plants. I could still see the possibility of an off take agreement for some unwashed raw coal from CGO even though the Chinese don’t want CGO to become a metallurgical coke producer. CGO seem to have enough resources to supply both organisations, even if that is only initially until CGO’s own wash plants and coke oven battery’s are up and running.

Quite a few invested here are also invested in BEN so I imagine after the RNS news this morning some may have switched to ride that news - personally I’m happy to be invested in both. GLA

Good luck to all holders here. I’ve given up and sold the last of my N4P shares today. It’s not that I don’t think this can come good (eventually) it’s just I’ve found there are better opportunities to make money elsewhere (down over 60% on N4P but made up my losses here by investing in Ben so I’ve been adding there today). Certainly a much better organisation.
