Surprisingly poor share price action on the open. But then again NAV per share is only £1.64 - so overvalued by 40%. Avivas NAV is £4.55 and valued at £3.90. Will stick with them.

Poor results - overall worst of all the banks. No mention of dividend returning; declining NIM; poor levels of profit. I own lots of AIB shares - big regret - poor company and badly run.

Share buy back has commenced and wouldn't you know it, the share price is down. SHARE BUY BACKS ACHIEVE NO PURPOSE WHATSOEVER - they have never resulted in boosting the share price. Yesterdays average price was £1.767 - today they buy more at a cheaper price. What a waste of resources.

Last share buyback resulted in the share price falling. All BPs share buybacks the same; aviva the same; lloys the same. Never seen one yet boosting the share price

I will only invest in companies like BP that are heavily diversifying - absolutely no point in investing in oil only companies - their future prospects are limited.

gavstar... he is absolutely pursuing the right strategy... I bought BP precisely for that reason. I'm very happy overall and have added 10k a week ago.

Can't complain - brilliant results. Debt down; dividend up; meaningful share buyback; excellent outlook.

They always say never count dividend as income - its not guaranteed. And in fact I prefer lower dividends as my income ceiling reached. Prudent these days are people selling shares in light of massive profits - its so dumb....
