I agree with him too - market hates uncertainty. So, just to be clear, Labour were decimated, any fears of a Labour government are dead in the water. As a long term investor, I am not waiting around for a few more pence off.

I have set buy limits for all of those at those prices. Thanks Falkland. Great to get those pearls of wisdom. Centrica was historically at or near £4. So a 10 pence drop is neither here nor there. In fact, actually all of those prices show the market is near the bottom.

As for the next leader of impoverished Britain - Dominic Raab has an extremely low IQ and is a bit thick really - he didn't even know until recently that most trade goes through Dover. He, himself, was the very Brexit Secretary who was involved in negotiating a deal for the UK that he later signed up to and then resigned. "I can't in all conscience sign up to what I have negotiated and agreed". This is a spineless Git of low intellect. As for Boris Johnson - the Donald Trump of UK politics - your country (not mine) will be screwed for years. Let's see what happens - but neither of those ex-Brexit Secretaries have any balls. Yes - both took part in successful negotiations and agreed a deal and then voted against! You couldn't make it up. Power ultimately rests with Parliament and the 600 plus MPs therein or it could go back to the people, but in the end the next Prime Minister will face the same challenges and will get the same result.

I've heard it all now. The last results day shorters dropped their position almost half. Now we have a share price down 70% - and a dividend up to 25 pence. IMO, I would not want to be shorting this now. However, Falkland could be right that this might float down to £1.75 - which is where I have set a limit buy. But he could be very very wrong. Not advising people where to put their money - as people aren't paying me for advise - but this is where I am putting more money on.... don't give a stuff about short term fluctuations. I set limits on my shares to guarantee they couldn't be shorted - whether or not my stockbroker engages in the practice.

Thats why shorting is extremely risky - down side limited - upside theoretically unlimited. Going long pays especially at this price....

Hardup - they don't have to close their positions but would have to be a sure footing that its going to tank on subsequent days to make any money on these.

That's correct - wouldn't want to be a shorter at this point in time. 17p per share plus broker interest/fees - goodness!

Princeofdarkness has lots of useful insight - I looked up yesterday to see how it works. The fact that shorters have to pay the dividend (of 17p) is a real bonus and good to know!

Set a high limit if you really don't want to part with them. I did.

Hardup - its reduces the free float as the broker has to have them on call for when the limit is reached. Great to know. I am convinced my broker is lending out stock!
