Who were the shorters - you had certainly been the most negative in recent weeks ?!

It's a tough one, so is no news good or bad ?

payment guarantees now in place and/or another big customer taking gas would be positive.

No big institutions dumping - positive

Concerns about possible placing or tough bank negotiations - negative.

Each time I check the price to start buying again my gut reaction is not to. Its a daily battle with common sense versus mistrust based upon the past and the recent RNS's

Agree with most of that, it's a bulletin board for debating the pros and cons of investing in the relevant share.

I don't short stocks only markets. So I have no position here but i'll do more research and join the debate, I might buy if I think I can make money on them. A chart is a chart, I have no feelings towards it - I was just pointing out that it looks better if you wanted to go short rather than long at the moment.

Maybe if you turn the chart upside down it looks positive.

Otherwise it's a case of director buy momentum running out of steam - and a new downtrend starting - again..

You go to a lot of trouble to find things like this.

Most on here are either clear about their position or we can work it out. You said yesterday that you wouldn’t buy any more VOG shares at the moment. Does any more mean you’ve got some already, you’ve got none or you’re short VOG.

Your altruism will have more impact if people know your position/agenda.

Banjo, I think we're on the same page about the prospects going forward.

The devil is in the detail though, rather than 3 RNS all pretty much saying the same thing they could have said that we have £x in the bank, and what we have coming in currently from the big increase in production, £x will be enough to see us through for the foresseable future - they didn't.

All Bob/Jones posts have vanished for the third time. Obviously dobbed in by a VOG hater or someone short which narrows it down.

Shame because he had more up to date knowledge about VOG than anyone on here, and we could have made use of that long or short.

Interestingly though, he didn't deny that there would be a placing, he just disputed the number of shares that could be issued. That's why I still haven't bought back.

Malcy's followers with lots of small buys today I suspect - most of the big trades were Sells though.

In the interests of fairness, honesty and transparency do you think it would be a good idea to disclose one's position if posters are to have big opinions and to post regularly. We don't need to disclose numbers - that's private. Just honest thinking and whether long, short or no position.

Does that sound fair ???

I'll start, no position - waiting for news on placing or not. Want to invest and see this getting to 40p quickly if any dilution (or not as the case might be) is not too onerous.

Reply below - this is where it came from, your post of 9th Jan.

sage - the AMER directors have been filing their boots. and rightly so.
offloading some VOG at 42p into AMER at 9p was probably the smartest move I have made.
offloading some AMER at 14.5p and into VOG at 29p is (hopefully) the worse trade I'll make.

The thing is, while I accept that we all have different ways of doing things and different trading styles, I'm totally flummoxed by bigsmoke ?!

He sells AMER a few weeks agoand buys VOG at 28p. Then for a few days maybe even a bit longer they were brilliant (ish) price target 68p - what a jolly chap he was.

Then he obviously sold out at some stage, and even though he's been buying (from his posts) periodically from low 20's to even yesterday at what must have been 14 or 15 the company absolutely stinks.

To continually slag them off and to still keep buying - is that a strategy or a sign of complete and total madness ???
