Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
What we have to hope for is real advances in Carbon Capture and scrubbers. Interestingly the big oil companies are now starting to invest heavily in this. What needs to happen is that the technology is cheap enough to drop the overall cost of coal plus cost of carbon below that of other sources.
One thing for sure is electricity production will massively increase due to electrification of transport etc and coal and gas power station provide intertia thus stabilising power grids so unless battery storgage drastically increases they will have a role for 20 years plus
They need to do some consolidation. Having to muck around with decimals is tricky
Whatever the valuation its fair to say if institutions don't rate it they will get in their trades before opening meaning we won't get to see that price. Therefore the valuation is slightly irrelevant to us. its what the institutions rate it at which is important. However i expect them to be realistic. maybe they will do what the post office did, and under value. selling straight off may not be a great idea, however i expect many will
Correct. the drop in Sterling has vastly improved cash outlooks for British based companies operating in the US
I wouldn't put it past them. You would have thought there would be some kind of force majeure in the contract for weather
Could have easily been me. I only check in now and again and received no email notification from the brokers as changed email address. I did know of the intention to relist hence why I checked in
Institutions will drive the price up or down initially so I wouldn't worry too much about the smaller investor wanting to get out. in fact i fully expect them to drop the price initially to take advantage of those wanting out
Jackaroo. Fair play if you let it ride to 4p!! That would be big cahoonahs
Just because I'm not ramping it massively you assume I'm in it at a really low price. I've just been bitten a few times by this
I would be more than happy with what you are saying
Good Afternoon,
I'm struggling to think beyond the 0.5 price paid by the institutions. The company was in a worse state then. However I'm not sure the green deal floating around will help things. I'm not sure if it charges for the extraction of carbon or when its used?
Is there an expected date for relisting?
Globalisation is starting to be attacked as an inevitable good thing and countries are now starting to adopt nationalistic tendencies and keeping jobs within their country even though economically doesn't tick the boxes. Ok trump may not survive but there's no guarantee that his policies will be reversed straight away.
China are really striking ahead with carbon capture so the future of coal is not completely dead. I therefore don't see a narrow 2 year timeframe for the success of ATC which should be reflected in the share price. 3 years back ATC was dead and the future very bleak. Not quite so now
considering a lot of people have written this off and won't even be checking up on it maybe the voting should have been that your vote was yes unless you explicitly voted no.
It is a bit naughty. Asking tus to approve something which we have no way of knowing the value of repercussions of doing so. The thing is, it is what it is and we don't really have a choice.
Daniel Securities is delisted. Annoyingly we will be swapping shares in one delisted company for shares in another delisted company
