go on then effix, do please explain the reasoned arguments for your assertions because Drax no longer has any gas generation capacity (sold in Feb) and with biomas, Hydro and coal prices controlled or otherwise impervious to current gas pricing swings.
Todays lesson:-
It may have escaped your notice class, but the days are shortening and the ambient temperature is falling (we call it autumn) and this will be a trend lasting for about 6mths. Typically energy demand tends to rise during this period and being sensible chaps the folk that actually bulk buy the electricity will favour the cheapest suppliers. Ok, it can get a bit breezy but the sun tends to hide a bit so thermal power generation is the only realistic alternative to wearing coats indoors. Those generators that control their own feedstock prices will tend to do financially rather better than those that do not.
Any questions prat the back? No? Ok, I'll leave the coloured chalks for you to play with whilst I repair to the staffroom for a coffee and a smoke. Toodle-oo, class dismissed.
