from what I understand, you'll have the same amount of shares as before but the shares are being re-valued as 0.01p instead of 1p shares. This means the company can withdraw 0.99p from the share capital, which equates to £16m approx. Fireheart has a better understanding than a numpty like me!

For most of us the possibility to short is beyond our means, however if you think a share is going to go down then you can open a spread bet on it via Betfair or other spread bet sites.
