What's most important to know about Lithium batteries are that they do not have a 'memory'. NiCd batteries, which were used in power tools for years would become progressively less useful if they were not discharged and recharged entirely. Lithium batteries can be trickle charged, this will undoubtedly increase longevity. My Li-Ion DeWalt SDS drill can drill 100 12mm holes in concrete on one charge, I used to be able to get around 20 from the old NiCd one. If this technology is used in electric vehicles then the possibilities of charging stations for 'part charging' will make the industry a much more viable reality.

Morning. Knackered after the weekend, came joint 2nd out of 46 in the golf competition sunday! Lost out on a prize on count back (a complicated scoring method). Brilliant course though, I feel honoured to have played the same course as the world's greats :o)

Thought I'd average down this morning as I'm confident they'll recover in the short term. Stuck in an order, to triple my holding, at 90p and it didn't execute as the price rose. Tried again at 93p and went through. Just come back home to see I now have both sets and a rather large investment - twice what I have in CRND which is big by my standards. On plus side my average is now only 100p, need this to really rally now or it could be catastrophic!

Anyone else think that they are a tad low at the moment?

I've been selling small amounts and leaving profits to run. Have finally recouped my bank losses and am now 10% in profit on my long termers (down from 20% at start of the week). Thing is, I'm not bothered as most have a 10% spread so there's little point in selling anyway. I'm glad I've no banks and am gold heavy. Fossil fuels are murdering me at the moment though :o( Might be time to start buying again soon, averaging down on all the ones I losing on. Been down drains, up ladders and driving long distances all week. Judging by Thornton's shop in Leeds city centre, there's not much of a slow down up there!

Yep, had 3 do that today, and 5 go down around 7-10% Not a great day, average across my portfolio is 3% down, I beat the FTSE ;o)
