Maybe someone mistakenly thought issuing 700 million shares would raise £700 million?

Make that down 600 for the DOW - if it was not for irrational rises on Amazon, Zoom and others expected to do well if people are going to be spending more time at home it would be down over 1000 points.

Eventually the Market is going to realise that people are getting broke and discretionary spending on Netflix etc has to be cut.

And if as many people are out of a job as some are expecting then the banks will have higher bad debts; will they even be making any money? The lowly share price indicates the market is factoring in significant losses, not a speedy resumption of dividends.

My comment about m/cap and shares in issue is that more shares are likely to be issued for the Turkish venture. 100 billion shares could be issued at 0.1p raising £100m. The m/cap could even improve by £100m. Your logic says a handsome bonus is due.

Shareholders who now have a share price around 0.1p will have seen a further loss of 30% in the amount they can sell their shares for. As I wrote, what matters is what an investor can sell their shares for, not the m/cap of the company.

The share cap means little - billions more shares are likely to be issued; hopefully the m/cap will improve. What matters is what an investor can sell their shares for or, even better, what they value the stream of dividends at.
