It is a sad day when the argument in favour of Boris is that he is better than what other people believe Labour's leaders might be. That ignores:

(a) there are / were other Conservative leaders who would have been better but did not have the same populist appeal; just because the Yanks elected a populist leader why do we need one?
(b) there ought to be some sort of reform to our broken 2 party system with an unelected upper chamber. Maybe the House of Lords ought to be elected on a proportional representation basis? Surely that would be better than hereditary peers, christian church leaders and donors that hold undue power.

'The research was based on a protein within the thioredoxin antioxidant system called TR1. This protein is believed to be capable of preventing oxidative stress on melanocytes, the cells in the skin that are triggered by the sun's UV radiation.

In a study using mice, the researchers removed TR1 from their antioxidant systems to evaluate how the protein affected the protection of melanocytes. They found that without TR1, melanocyte proliferation was significantly reduced.

They thus concluded that TR1 directly affects melanocytes, which are responsible for preventing skin cancer, and that if a vaccine could generate more TR1s it could protect against sun-induced UV damage.

“Following uptake of the mRNA into the cell and the cell’s machinery going to work, the cell should be at a high antioxidant level and able to take care of oxidative stress and DNA damage arising from ultraviolet radiation,” Indra said.

The researcher further suggested that people at increased risk of skin cancer could be vaccinated once a year for added sun protection. The study was published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.'

This is a an original, superb condition, WW1 type British Brown Leather Pliers Frog for use by troops needing such tools such as Royal Engineers Signal Companies.

To the rear it is stamped ‘B.H.G. 1926’ which is the maker Barrow, Hepburn & Gale Ltd and a WD arrow.

An identical frog is shown in Carter, number 144 which is dated 1914 and unit marked to 22 Sig Coy RE, and this frog would be a perfect addition to any WW1 mannequin or belt set.

Sales up less than inflation... so actually going backwards.

In a normal squeeze more expensive goods should get cheaper as people go down market in search of value for money... But down sizing / grading has been part of the game for a couple of years already and my hoping that organic fillet steak dropping significantly in price has yet to happen. Rich toffs are just treating themselves at home instead of going out to restaurants.
