You put tracking pixels in the confirmation email... Claude explains
Here's how it works:
Tracking Pixels:
Tracking pixels are small, invisible images that are embedded in emails.
When the email is opened, the tracking pixel loads from a server controlled by the sender.
This allows the sender to track when the email was opened and by whom.
IP Address Retrieval:
When the tracking pixel loads, the server receiving the request can see the IP address of the device that opened the email.
This IP address will be the actual IP address of the recipient's device, not the VPN or proxy IP address.
Circumventing VPNs:
Even if the recipient is using a VPN to hide their real IP address, the tracking pixel will still reveal the actual IP address of the device.
This is because the VPN connection is established before the email is opened, but the tracking pixel request is made separately.
