Was here for the long term, feels pretty bitter ending up with around 13p or so by time GTE are sold. No doubt will sell GTE and they'll go on to do amazing...

.... also, if it is a no vote and that is issued after trading then it is a massive 2 fingers to shareholders.

Given shareholders have not been able to vote, there is a chance that the court was not able to complete the vote. This would explain why neither a Yes or No RNS has been issued. If the vote failed to take place, I do not believe there is a time pressure to issue a circular.

I've been involved in a lot of these and never taken more than 10-15mins for the news to be released. It is very odd.

I don't believe posting results of a court vote is breaching confidentiality. It is a public forum and why the information is put in a RNS quickly, to beat the news spreading by other means. Appreciate if you don't want to risk it though!

Part of me thinks take the 13p and be done with it. The other part of me thinks I've been invested in i3e for 7 years, fortunately selling out 50% near the peak purely as a result of buying property. Original investment had almost tripled at the time. Added back in big between 3.4 and 10p 4 years ago, having watched my remaining 50% dwindle to nothing. That chunk of investment is worth more than 13p. Just as the company has stabilised, reduced debt and got various transactions operating together, the directors decide to sell. No doubt a no vote will plummet sp below 10p but a modest turnaround in gas prices next year and i3e will be in a much healthier place.

Think I'm going to sign out and check back on Monday. If the deal goes through then that's me done with aim for good, will leave with good profits rather than sticking around until eventually being wiped out in the casino.

GTE is 30% down since the offer so why would even ii take that over cash? GTE only likely to fall further once all i3e shareholders sell. No idea why i3e accepted equity into the deal, this only works if the acquiring company is substantially larger and easily absorbs the equity.

If the deal goes through every shareholder will be requesting 100% cash as part of the mix and match. Assume we will all end up receiving the split as described in the initial offer.

Always wondered why Canada doesn't have an opec style regulation. Of everyone cut back 10-20% then the price would be stronger. It's market is directly effected by its own actions. Understand Canadians love the cheap gas, doing a project in Canada now and they want an all gas building. Every other country I've worked in is full electric on all new buildings but gas is so cheap.

The takeover is dragging on. With the current price environment I wouldn't be upset if the deal goes through. Just need to take time to understand where best to put the money, this felt like a safe long term investment. Probably opt for some safe divi returning, think I'm done with AIM foe good after i3e. Happy to collect

Yes but now i3e is a car crash, terrible company, that can't develop it's assets and has been saved by the wonderful GTE. We really should be grateful Majid has managed to save our investment like this.

I've always thought there is a no brainer solution. We need to get to 100% renewable. The money oil and gas or "energy" companies make, should not be overly taxed but should have incentives in place to spend on renewable. Smaller companies can simply offset their requirement, while it allows larger o&g companies to transition with the country.

We have already seen Labour use £500m to plug a finance deficit from the renewables budget set aside from o&g. I'd much rather the companies themselves are trusted to make the investment, than thinking the government could do it sensibly.

30% down since the announcement, that's a penny off the offer price. Once all i3e shareholders try to dump the shares they will tank even further. Right now an all cash offer of 14p would probably get the job done!

Less than 4 weeks till 7th October. Any counter, I would expect in the next week or so.

GTE now 25% down from 16th Aug. That reduces value to i3e shareholders from 3.2 to 2.4p. Take off the 0.25p dividend that was due anyway and the offer is sitting at 12.85p.

Either i3e sp is dropping reflecting the reduced value of the offer, or the market believes it will fail. I hope it is the latter.

I3e have little debt, good hedges and a large loan facility to continue through the current oil/ gas pricing environment. Confident of a recovery into 2025 and aligned with a Simonette campaign. The directors were apparently "evaluating asset backed debt financing solutions to accelerate development" on 13th August! Also remember second half of 2024 is "back to back drilling across the portfolio".

Stas, the fact the offer is for all the directors to resign with immediate effect says everything we need to know. All incentives will vest plus the payoff package will be frightening.

For HL voting you need to go on the website, if some like me, were initially on the app. I've voted no to both resolutions today.
