The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
The ship "North Sea Giant" was on site in early May with the third turbine and a guy on here called Shinvest seemed to have done a little field trip to see it , I did see some pictures of it being deployed on Discord. However it has all been quiet since and there has been no RNS. I do notice that a heavy lift ship "Normand Superior" is now on it's way to Nigg from Norway so perhaps there was a problem and they are trying again.
In the last clip they are definitely on the North Sea Giant (White Crane). The marine research guy saying everything had gone to plan but a Turbine appears to be in the background. Could have filmed it on the way up though I guess!
I think we must be on the longest timeline scenario as is says the Appeal process has been completed on 12th May, which corresponds to the longest timeline on the scenario sheet. So perhaps will be 8th July for final notification
That does actually sound more Plausible, There isn’t much reliable pricing info on the ROC system if I’m honest so I’m just thinking out loud. The other fact is that they only own circa 78% of Meygen so need to take that into account
Carrying on with the same line of thought. Meygen produced roughly 11,120MWh in FY 2020 and the income was £3.19M (This includes the ROC payments according to annual report) so this is roughly £286 per MwH including the ROCS
With the third turbine I would pencil in around 10,000MWh for FY2022 (Adding 2nd turbine in April and 3rd in May)
With the wholesale prices now some 4 times greater that FY2020 could this mean £11.4M income? (£286 x 4 x 10000)
A ROC is a Renewable Obligation Certificate. It varies, but for this site each 0.2MW produced gets 1 ROC Certificate (Different multiplier for each renewable technology). It's a complicated structure but as far as I can tell the company gets paid for each ROC on top of the wholesale energy price. If they get the three turbines running they should be nearer 1000MWh and 5000 ROCs. I agree somewhat a drop in the ocean with the debt interest but interesting none the less
The peak output of the site was around 1300MWh in Mid 2019. I guess this was all 4 turbines in operation
There is a bit of a lag in the figures but Meygen produced 340MWh in Jan and 247MWh in Feb 2022, Equivalent to 1701 ROC in Jan and 1238 ROC in Feb. Unfortunately I don't know what this equates to in Monetary terms. Wonder if anyone on here does? There should be a definite uptick from April onwards with the arrival of the second and third (hopefully!) turbines

The info was from here, but the ships do sometimes turn out to be different than stated!

Looks to me as if this new document is quite positive
