The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
I cannot say I have been watching EMH in heavy detail, but I hadn't realised the following: https://www.electrive.com/2020/07/02/inobat-auto-is-planning-a-10-gwh-cell-plant-in-slovakia/
"After the Bratislava-based company received a commitment of five million euros from the Slovakian government in February 2020, InoBat Auto has now secured a further ten million euros. The fresh capital comes from, among others, the energy supplier CEZ Group, which is leading the current financing round.
The company has also said that a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) is currently being examined. The company aims to use the freshly-collected capital to build a 100-MWh production line in Slovakia. InoBat acquired the former TV factory in Voderady in June. The construction of the pilot production is to begin before the end of this year, and the first cells are to be produced from 2021. From 2024 InoBat Auto plans to build a 10 GWh factory."
Are my numbers correct, this CEZ factory alone would require 10ktpa?
Missing the key text from my bumbling attempt at 'copy & paste':
"Admission of the new ordinary shares is expected to occur on or around 17 September 2020."
Perhaps Suzy will drop the 201 results tomorrow, who knows. I suspect not. Would she break tradition and drop them on a Friday??
There will almost certainly be an RNS in the morning, if only due to the line in the previous RNS
"Application will be made to the London Stock Exchange to admit the 1,270,000 new ordinary shares resulting from the Warrant Exercise to trading on AIM."
The Aussies and the Chinese have a good ramping supply chain, EU and US not looking quite so pretty.
Rio Tinto & EMH really need some progress. Looks like EMH has sentiment and major backing now, but one step at a time.
Uhh, I can't keep up with these proposed battery factories, now I hear that Wales will have a "Britishvolt" factory, West of Cardiff, apparently.
All these companies better get a move on getting their mine supply!
Just waiting for an RNS to confirm the Prague stock market move, CEZ are making more noises about their own lithium battery facilities too.
Well yes, I love wine, but when you park at a "roadside wine farm" in the South of France, if you take your own bottles, they will let you fill up a 5 litre bottles for about 6 euro.
The base cost of ingredients is not that dissimilar to grape juice.
The expensive part is building your chateau & visitor centre, then employing the pretty ladies in the gift shop! ;)
Precisely. If you are a serious trader, you probably bought an "unlimited trades" package for whatever it costs (£50pm?).
I fail to comprehend a regular PI spending £5-10 buying/selling a 25p share, so I take 1 shares as an indicator of traders/algorithms messing around in the background.
After all, if enough people believe the 1 trade myth, it's a kinda self-fulfilling prophecy. I personally believe a lot of people use them to flag potential newsflow to other traders, or just a mischievous drunk trader trying to wind up the regulars for a laugh.
Is this news?
https://www.yicaiglobal.com/news/tinci-materials-to-build-usd396-million-czech-lithium-battery-electrolyte-plant
"Aug. 19 -- Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology will build a lithium battery electrolyte plant with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons for CNY275 million (USD39.6 million) in the Czech Republic to achieve "close-by supply" to its key customers, the firm announced yesterday.
...The factory, which will go up in Bohumin, will have a construction period of 18 months"
More Autolus presentations on their website. Nice
It's a brave investor who bought Tesla last month. By all means it is a wonderful company, but at that price and PE ratio (was it PER 1200 at one point??? Valued at nearly 9x Audi group who actually make £5-6bn profit per year).
It gets less eyeball attention, but have you seen the mahoosive leap on Audi group shares this last 6 months? Audi being the group who own Volkswagen etc.
October 2019: 800 euros
April 2020: 950 euros
Sept 2020: 1600 euros...
Something big is happening for a company like AUDI to double in 6 months during COVID season.
Several anecdotal factors & imaging scans were noted when referring to results.
PSA is obviously referred to because it's standard and easy to monitor, has some misleading results though. Was there some anecdotal feedback at one point, that several bed-bound patients were able to get out of bed?
Apparently the "stable disease" was backed up by medical imaging, but the statement was a bit "woolly" for my liking. UCL has some rather nifty ultrasound devices for imaging the prostate (actually, I really liked their "rectal" HIFU laser clinical trials, which may also become a standard of care option in the future, check it out if you have a vague non-drug interest in modern techniques, UCL Professor Hashim Ahmed).
George occasionally whittled on that they were looking for potential evidence of an effect on metastatic growths/additional tumours, related to his external mouse tests that appeared to show a moderate effect (was it 50% fewer growths? ish). We have never had any feedback on this.
I really hope Suzy is actually putting together a moderate table of results with actual PSA measurements and patient feedback. The last official data we saw from the 4mg groups, gave a 40-50% average drop in PSA, with hints that 4+m/g groups might be in the 50+% region. It would be annoying if we were given a table saying "stable disease".
From recollection, VW are now outselling Tesla in Europe aren't they? It was close but I think they've pulled ahead by a few hundred units.
I can't say I'm massively impressed with the Renault Zoe, but I do find it hilarious a Renault is Europe's #1 e-car in 2020. Is that basically a "housewife eCar that's not too pricey" ?
Google use a funny averaging delayed algorithm to calculate costs.
There are cheeky ways to catch a glimpse of the current SP without paying for a £30pm account. ADVFN do a weird 1-2 second glimpse of the real-time trades if you have a free account. Just click on trades and it will give you a brief view of them for 1-2s.
In a totally separate and unrelated technical matter. The Prt Scrn button is occasionally handy for taking photos of things that do not stay on your screen very long.
Baxter, thank you for link, although the excessive rampy optimism in that text concerns me about its truthfulness, sounds very like an overcaffeinated PR rep to me.
I do admit it is curious. If only because valirx used the same software on 201, with this Japanese company having interests in both cancer & endometriosis.
Quite possibly a red herring in the grand scheme of things. But interesting to note.
