25-JAN-21 - Why Have the AMC shares almost hit $5usd today ? Crazt but true
AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc said on Monday that any talk of an imminent bankruptcy is "completely off the table" after the cash-strapped movie theater chain raised an additional $917 million to help cushion the blow from the pandemic.
AMC shares, which have lost nearly half their value in the last 12 months, surged 40% in trading before the bell.

The New York-based company said it had raised capital by issuing new shares, while executing commitment letters for more debt.

The announcement comes as AMC continues to face heavy losses, with fresh pandemic-led restrictions forcing theaters to shut again.

Delays in the release of new movies due to the pandemic have crushed theater chains such as AMC, Cineworld Plc and Cinemark Holdings Inc , with the latest setback being the postponement of the James Bond film "No Time to Die".

The company also said it was estimating that its "financial runway has been extended deep into 2021", but warned investors on the uncertainty of its future cash needs.

The Monaco-based tycoon, who has a royalty agreement with the airline he founded in 1995, saw turnover at easyGroup almost halve to £12.2m in the year to the end of September. I indeed agree with you. As usual, when Capita shares take a dump(dive), the dirty worms get out to remind us that we're 'heading supposedly' for a bloodbath. To be honest, I'm gathering all my savings together 'ready' for I hope not red day next Monday or whatever day the MM's decide to choose. Anyhow, today Newsletter IMO was purely written and any of us regular capita shareholders could had done a much better job. It lacked that touch & feel of professional editing and was mainly a half-shut watered down semi-outdated & semi-updated article enough to make my blood boil with anger. Finally, that time for chilling is upon us again. I will be back on Sunday evening. Cya. All.
