[Council writes to residents affected by Capita data breach]

In the letter, the council’s Data Protection Officer expressed the authority’s extreme disappointed that Capita has failed to maintain the high-security standards it expects of its suppliers, adding: “We continue to work with them to ensure that future data entrusted to Capita is held securely, and would like to apologise unreservedly for the incident.”

Will it just go away? Not really.

That lse member posted just before the rises and disappeared in the background when the going got too tough for them to shift away. They went on posting under cpi great and well written comments that had always raised my suspicion even yo the point where I said they were closely connecting with Jonathan Lewis. I was right not to believe in their plot to try in convince me to fe-enter cpi when she was bouncing around between 30 and 37p. There is no denying that the suppoused unbreakable cpi 'steel hull'was never going to happen. It is with sadness to officially announce that its really starting to be obvious that cpi is now very close to submerge itself and start descending into the cold deepness of hhe English Channel. I pray that some will have survived or at least have kept their specialist diving gear at the ready.

Also, Crispin Odey investment in Cpi was done using CFD investment trading option which didn't need him to have bought the shares outright.

It appears to be a Sell UT order followed by more sell orders showing up as late reported trades. In overall if is correct for me to say that there was about 31million trades shown as sells rather than buys. Imho, that's is a big dump before the next week to be expected share price drop. It will definitely have a serious dent on the share price when cpi shares trading resumes. Was not expecting such a bast amount. Someone doesn't have anymore confidence in Capita

Update by Malik, Barings Law’s Head of Data Breach.

Manchester-based Barings Law said it had now officially initiated legal proceedings against Capita.

So far, it has signed up 250 people who suspect their personal data may have been compromised by the breach. They say they are now fielding “30-40 enquiries a day” including from local councils.

“This could be one of the biggest data breaches this country has ever experienced,” said Adnan Malik, Barings Law’s Head of Data Breach.

“We’re receiving a staggering number of enquiries which is why we’ve officially launched legal action. The number of clients we’re signing up is growing every day, which shows how big this is.

“A lot of people who have been paying into their pension for years are really worried they’ll have nothing when they retire.

Legal proceedings initiated against Capita over data breach.

Law firm has launched class action against the firm following the cyber incident in March.

Law firm Barings Law has initiated legal proceedings against Capita, following the cyber incident earlier this year.

Investigations by the law firm discovered "alarming potential breaches" of personal information, including compromised passports, emails and home addresses.

The firm also found pensions which were administered via Capita's systems were targeted in the breach.

Me and you should had put all our cash on one stock(888) and double our money.

Unfortunately I had owned that 888 share for a small period and made good money, but feared it would had dropped had I not taken my profit. Anyhow, look at it now at almost £1.20 considering was at around 67p some weeks ago.

For all that time that I sat waiting for cpi to drop to its true value, I had lost great potential profits in stocks like 888 that would had needed just a few months of holding and not like cpi that needs years of holding just to see the odd 15 to 20p rise before it loose its value all over again.

Pocket change imho. Cpi will always be a penny share imho.

The reality is that Cpi will continue to show weaknesses in its share price value to to various factors that you just can't deny is suppressing it from climbing up.

Until all of you longs realise that, there is nothing that I can tell you to make you come to your senses. As it stands, I shall not be buying cpi until its true value is represented in the share price currently on offer by those market makers who I'm not very keen to let them try to rip me off as have done so in the past years. I would be joining cpi if it takes a visit at around the 24p to 26p prices. Its currently far too expensive and not value for money considering all that is yet to hit Capita.

[Warning as Sheffield schools hit by data leak after hackers target Capita

Schools across Sheffield have been affected by a data breach as a result of hackers.]

The incident affects the payrolls of a number of schools across the city, who have individual contracts with the private company Capita, which provides payroll services.

Sheffield Council has confirmed it is aware of the problem, describing it as ‘a data breach by Capita from information they hold’.
