FULL YEAR RESULTS NEXT WEEK....:

The London-listed company will outline plans for new cost savings, including job cuts, at its full-year results next week, Sky News understands.

Pretty sure Deloitte's were brought in to look at the historic accounting of big projects and their write offs - the company recently stated that the review was nearing its completion and the findings would not materially effect cash flow - looks to me their will be some prior year adjustments effecting intangible asset values and historical reported profits - I imagine SIDARA are more focused on the future of the Group not their past accounting policies which will be amended going forward...just a thought - and just my view...

Media comment from last year:

"Sidara, a fellow consultant engineering and services firm, had put together a cash bid in April but was rebuffed by the Wood board. After pressure from shareholders and three price increases, the directors said an offer of 230p a share would get their support."

It's the pressure from sharholders that caught my eye..... This time round it could be INTENSE PRESSURE FROM SHAREHOLDERS..... lol

I'd take 90p tomorrow - but that might not be sufficient for the II.

Actually, I read an earlier post suggesting the offer may be closer to the last offer - to satisfy / placate the II - this does have some merit - although the institutions have had the same opportunity as PI to buy on the lows...

The lack of leaks..... which suggests that both parties are in tune with each other and neither one is angry enough or frustrated to air any frustrations through the media.....

Anyway - just a thought.

From memory the company invited Deloitte's to carryout a review - this is important as the Deloitte report will be issued to the Company not the banks, shareholder's or other interested parties.

Of course the directors have a duty to keep the market informed if there are any events that may impact upon the share price. Again, as I recall the Company has stated that the review is almost complete and they do not expect any adverse movements that will effect cash.

I'm assuming there will be some impairment issues that will impact the income statement and retained earnings and tax provisions - if that's it then the Company can move forward.....and SIDARA should be comfortable with this - you would think.....
