Only just got around to checking this morning. 0.617p paid into my trading account and not my ISA (IWeb). Previous DCU payment last September was the same. So they are at least being consistent.
I’m going to speak to them next week to argue that, in my opinion, these payments should have been paid into my ISA. I will try and have a proper read of the scheme document Corryvreckan1 as well.
Much obliged for the information Corryvreckan1. Very useful. I will wait and see what happens next week for people here. My provider paid the last DCU payment into my trading account. After reading the points made by yourself and dave999, I’m coming round to the view that the DCU payments themselves should be paid into my ISA irrespective of where the DCUs themselves are held. I might take this up with my provider next week. Thanks again
Thanks for the info Corryvreckan1. I know this has been discussed before about the tax treatment of DCUs, but I can’t find the original thread on this platform. As I understand it, the DCUs payment made outside of an ISA (as mine now are grrrrr) are liable for capital gains tax, yes? So how do I work out the capital gain for this financial year? Is it the whole DCU payments or do I deduct something from that?
There was a 0.309p payment per DCU on 30th September 2023. Subsequent payments will be made at 6 month intervals thereafter. Total DCU payments will be capped at 6.48p per DCU as I remember. Also I think these will only be made on PRAX revenues up until end of December 2026.
I may not have got these details exactly right. Best to check for yourself on the Prax website where it has all of the documents
Very pessimistic article. Would the price really have to drop to 140-160 before the bargain hunters would flood in?
If I originally held my Hurricane shares in an ISA and I now hold DCUs in a trading account, how do I work out how much capital gain (or loss?) I’ve made from DCU payments? Finding this very confusing.
IWeb DCU payment received today
Still no DCU payments in my IWeb account either :(
I suppose it depends what you are measuring relative performance against.
The closing price on 10 Feb 2021 (when BG took over managing the trust) was 339. The price now is about 211. That’s about a 38% drop in share price.
According to their website, they will be paid bi annually in arrears. First payment is due before the end of this month.
You should have received about 6p for each of your Hurricane shares following the acquisition by PRAX. So 1600 shares should have given you about £96 I think? And, of course, you should now have 1600 DCUs as well. I’m not sure were the £2800 valuation is coming from.

I have been told by my ISA provider, that my PRAX DCUs will be transferred into my trading account. Any subsequent payments from these will then be paid into there as well. Have you heard otherwise or is this just your opinion? Thanks
I completely agree with you Kever. I’m not sure who is responsible for these **** ups. There is a part of me, however, that can’t help but chuckle that some people seem to be getting more than they’re due and the institutions insisting that it’s correct when clearly its not. What a shambles.
This is one monumental **** up
