Tickled RSA this am.....and just about to go into profit....a wee top up for the freebie pot..a nudge above £1 would be tasty

The amount isn't really important...its playing the game...keeps me occupied on wet dreary days. Once the fishing weather kicks in, you wont see me for long and weary....son has been winding me up about a fishery in Ayrshire which I haven't visited yet...done most of those north of the M8 and a couple to the south of that...and I don't even like fish, unless its a special fish supper out of Enzos

Been a while since I traded this, and looking at how contracts are doing, seems the employment of staff is pretty secure, however, are the staff likely to throw a fizzy fit and kickoff industrial action....which would obviously have an effect on the SP

Asked Eccles a bit back about how the workforce were about the pensions. Whats the sentiment like with the staff...assuming pension is as you say..fait accompli....

Have tried to spot that kind of movement in the past. The deal could be closed in one fell swoop, or reduce exposure bit by bit. Havent got a gospel answer for you on that. Perhaps someone else could contribute??

Re the spike.....at the time the trade shows up...trades on either side of that transaction were 975 -974,,, With SP at current of 965, the player has made £16.5k so far.....and if he hits target of 933...his profit will be in the region of £54.7k.....not a bad turn at all...even the current £16.5k is a nice return.....but hugely risky. He obviously has a good bank roll to let it run. Had it been going the other way, he was looking at a sore head, and would have had to be topping up his trading credit to keep the bet running.

the person will make a killing, that is assuming that was a SELL transaction ........my thoughts. Re shorting.....I NEVER short or go LONG on shares...I physically buy a share and look for min 5% return on the investment. If its on a particularly bullish run...I let it run, but as soon as I see a serious retrace from a profitable situation, , I pull my capital out and keep the free shares. I have built up quite a pot of freebies over the past 5 years or so, which I refer to as my fun munny......I have a P/F which I tweak from time to time, all blue chips which throw a good annual yield....much better than banks or BS.

Re getting the head round it....I gave up trying that a long time ago. I look for "signals...trends...sentiment" Now everybody, and their grannies, know that this particular share does have heavy swings...you either buy in and hold for dear life ( and win long term)....or play the signals. That spike that you saw....somebody..at some recent time, for whatever reason, dealt in this at 933. On the basis of past experience, I take that as a nod/wink, that the trend is likely to shift. We'll see if the "big player" makes money. In the meantime...have fun...and make a bob or two...GL

Its on the cards....however, shorters can hold it back....but not forever. Bags of headroom in this one yet.
