Great replies and I respect your points of view. A good debate topic and a nice example of the board being used well here.
I'm sure we will each be correct in some ways and wrong in others.
I agree that not being involved with Eskom shouldn't change the share price; it's going to be announced in stages and wouldn't be headline news in the UK, other items such as Electrolyte Plant progress and the rising Vanadium price would offset each announcement that doesn't include Bushveld.
I'm not sure I agree that positive Eskom news would re-rate BMN either though. This is a really volatile share in a poorly regulated market; if Eskom news landed at 7am it would not surprise me to see us open +30% and finish in the red. Equally; the MMs might see it fit to designate us a new P/E ratio by themselves and we never see sub 20p again.
The product of my ramblings is basically the same old shayte: You really have to be thinking long term in this one to reap the real rewards. Good weekend all.
Chroist.
Did anyone log in tonight and wonder why the F there was a thread with Ian Watkins as the title? Guy is doing life in jail.
I think people here need to get a F grip And either sell this (or bottom drawer it) for their own well being.
Bottom drawer is a good bet: you look back in 6 months and it's 30p then happy days.... You look back and it's 12p then at least you haven't felt like shiiit every day watching it drop.
Weather's picking up; get out and mulch cut the sward lads, return some nutrients.
Hi Sistersoffate
I understand your frustration, and that of others here. The valuation will catch up at some stage, but the interest from PI's is elsewhere at the moment - and so is the money.
Bushveld is a frustrating hold, particularly at these prices. Unless your average is below 8p then you would've done better holding the S&P500 the past few years, needing no research and not losing a second's sleep.
I would like to see Mikhail interviewed in Bushveld colours at some stage, not sure why the Crux interviews couldn't have included him. Have not heard from him in a while, admittedly I don't follow Vanitec that closely.
I hope that things improve and that you're able to sell some at a decent price. I do however think that many here (if they're honest with themselves) are truly sick of the sight of this in their portfolio and will hit the exit before the big gains - which will be a shame - I'm as impatient as anyone but have promied myself to see it through till the 8400 production target at the very least.
Good day all
I could definitely be wrong; but I feel a lot of housekeeping has been and is being done recently. Could all merely be tax year stuff etc but hopefully getting their house in order for something bigger.
I've not been overconfident at any point in the Eskom story myself, more focussed on the mining side/production increases and the electrolyte plant because they are dead certs in my opinion. I will keenly observe the tender awards this year though; as much for the VRFB publicity and long term good as the inevitable and immediate improvement in sentiment toward this share.
It may have to be another patient year in this one! Time will tell. GLA.
It will rise when we least expect it Paulpbmurphy, that's why I don't try to get clever and trade it.
This share could easily be £1 sometime next year.
This share could also easily be 15p sometime next year.
The most exciting share I own with the most potential upside, but also the most frustrating and volatile.
GLA.
With respect to all; arguing amongst ourselves will not help anyone. Let's all enjoy our Sunday and see what the company has to say.
I've held BMN long enough to have been given the AfriTin shares and wasn't thrilled with that deal. I personally hope Lemur is straight up sold/disposed of - it's continuing relevance bores me as much as this JSE listing saga.
Regarding BE; if there is a surprise coming I can only hope it relates to Eskom and the JV notion and is in the definite best interests of Bushveld and us, the shareholders.
Have a good day boys and gals.
1) Not this year, still very much a growth prospect
2) sooner the better but don't hold your breath
3) at a guess; too volatile in the short term. I think this company are really going places and plan to hold until a buyout, but I wouldn't buy shares in it with another person's money.
As a medium or long term bet I'd say it's an excellent choice. Two dividends in H1 and the SP is only 9% above the 365 day low during the Covid crash of last Spring. The market recovery has totally left Sage behind; this here now feels like when I bought Fevertree at 15 quid not that long ago. GLA.
Nice to see this bad boy finally getting a rerate. Onwards and upwards.
Echoed.
Having held through the darkest days I'm certainly not backing out now.
Great to see some recognition but still horrendously undervalued.
We're at about the same price we were during the strike over 2 years ago, I know the Vanadium price is lower but c'mon
