Beza, Sorrell has said that S4 intend to pay down debt and look to pay a dividend and share buy backs from next year once all past M&A payments end this financial year. Paying down net debt should be their priority, not dividends IMO.
Some directors bought in the summer of 2022 near the bottom after the crash, before the share price went on to double 6 months later Feb 2023. I think that it would give much needed confidence to the market and maybe ex shareholders would repurchase. JMO.
I will wait for confirmation in the results before investing anymore here, unless directors pile in.
Pearls,
That would be nice, it would send out such a strong signal, I for one would be buying in on that news. Have you called the bottom in the share price? Nice timing if you have. Time will tell over the next few days. Fingers crossed & good luck to all.
I think that the last time the BT share price was this strong it was related to Drahi buying BT shares. While I very much doubt that he is behind this current share price rise with Drahi/Altice needing to raise cash by selling off assets to pay down his debt. I don't know but something is behind this strong move up.

Billionaire Patrick Drahi’s Altice is preparing to receive initial bids for its Portuguese business and a stake in its French unit, as the tycoon grapples with his telecom empire’s debt load, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The Portuguese unit, which runs the MEO carrier, is being studied by potential private equity suitors including Apax Partners, Apollo Global Management Inc., CVC Capital Partners and Warburg Pincus, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the process is private.
Hi Pearls,
I agree with you in that long term S4 should recover, but with SMS saying recently that he doesn't see an upturn in advertising until after the USA election in November 2024, this puts me off for now investing further funds in to S4. I must admit to being tempted at this low share price, but I also thought the same at 100p. What would change my mind would be if SMS and his management team of directors purchased shares in S4, that IMO would be a game changer. S4 Directors purchased shares in the summer of 2022 at around 120p and the share price doubled 6 months later, after this gave confidence in the market. If directors aren't willing to invest at 46p per share then I'm not. I understand that they own a large 40% of the current shares, but still at 46p you would expect them to step up and show the market that they have confidence in S4 Capital. I just hope that management don't take this private for a pittance, at small shareholders expense.

"Motley Fool is Click Bait but there's a guy on YouTube that thinks S4 is a great investment?"
If you're referring to Jacob of JKR Investing well you should check out the link below, Jacob has a far better record than Motley fools who are a joke. He's up over 30% this year. I wish that I could say the same. Jacob still thinks that S4 will do well when the economy recovers. Time will tell.
