I think rxdav's third option is spot on. LK's peak of 1021bopd for just one day was a forced and misleading figure just so he could save face on his prediction which, if you remember, was originally set at between c.900-1,550bopd for the year end. Given that he has wisely avoided quoting target figures for 2019, I suspect we'll be doing well to have average much above the mid 800bopd for January.
Unbelievably quiet BB considering the double digit rise. Hopefully this indicates a leak from the Tanz government that a VAT rebate is finally on the way, then that really would be a very happy Christmas
rxdav - Rossannan has been telling us all along, and all along he's been right. So congratulations to him and boo to the "10p by Christmas" brigade.
Looks as if OPTI has been beaten to the punch re the NHS - see DaveC55's post this morning/
down to $52.20 so only another $2.30 to go before it hits LK's sweet spot of $49.90/bbl, unless we are already there with the $3 discount per barrel sale to Petrotrin.
It can be done...

and NXE was not far behind with a 12.68% rise yesterday, but both companies have been dwarfed by WUC over the past few months.
Thanks for that link, Icwanderer. Given their upbeat outlook on the uranium market - and there was a good rise among the USA/Canadian juniors yesterday - I find it surprising and disappointing that neither of these managers or any other director holds shares in their company - at least not as far as I can see.
What's EZ playing at? In normal circumstances I would see a CEO investing little more than a day's pay in buying shares in his company as a spoof and an almighty red flag. But in this case it is so ridiculous as to be laughable as in a very bad joke.
With a 10% unexplained drop I was being facetious, but given its the Tanz gov we are dealing with, I wouldn't be surprised if the rebate never materialises.
Think Eric has just been told SHG has no chance of getting its VAT refund before this Xmas or the next, or ever, come to that!
4-2-16 SP Angel: Berkeley Energia 23.75p, Mkt Cap £43.2m – new presentation highlights the start of initial infrastructure development.
Berkeley Energia has published a new presentation today highlighting the near term development of its uranium project in Salamanca, Spain
Permits: All major permits are now in place, so well done to the Berkeley team and to the Salamanca ministry of mines for enabling the development of this significant project....
Thanks for the SPT update LLL. Typical politicians, as they've been kicking around the prospect of revising the tax for the past two years, it doesn't look as if it's going to happen anytime soon - makes you wonder if they really care about their #1 domestic product.
Encouraging news on possible SPT reform - thanks Ross
The delays in issuing the required permits could run on for months if not years and it is not only BKY that is suffering from the incompetence of the Spanish authorities. Having had it's request for an extension of its concession on an oilfield in Spain turned down necessitating the need for a re-tender, Columbus Energy reported: "This process, which in most jurisdictions around the world would have taken a few months at most, took the Spanish authorities over 14 months to complete, inevitably delaying the start of the re-tender process and increasing the ongoing costs of the Company."
I have long since given up on Berkeley and instead invested my hard-earned in junior USA/Canadian mines which have benefited immensely from the recent upturn in the uranium price.
Normally with the interims due either tomorrow or Friday one would expect the anticipation of positive news to push the sp up, which is quite often followed by a fall as peeps are disappointed with the results. Hopefully the downward trend over the past few days will see a reverse of this pattern - maybe, perhaps, etc.
Pathetically small director buys - bet they give their kids more in pocket money pa - it's not even a spoof, but more like 3 red flags
Why on earth do we need 3 brokers - Liberum, Optiva & now Berenberg? Surely unnecessary expense - no wonder the sp is tanking.
Given that Columbus has obviously lost his sextant overboard and he's been heading south not north for the last month, isn't it time LK broke his radio silence and issued at least a "know of no reason for the sp decline" of over 20%. Not only is a drop of 20% on no news alarming, but it is also 20% below last year's placing price which is never a good sign.
Bonasse reactivation? - Drill been on the site for nearly a month now.
Good old Ross, never afraid to stick his togger in a wasp's next - the howls of indignation from the mob are worth it ;o)
