Do you really think they will test the Kimmeridge with no pump? How will they determine the volumes and pressures, etc? Without a pump, the natural max flow can only be whatever comes out without a choke which is probably 901bopd or slightly above. I'm sure the EWT is to determine if it can flow higher than that so a pump is needed.

You guys didn't understand what I meant. The Kimmeridge does 900bopd naturally but how is it going to flow higher this time without a high rated pump? Ar eyou expecting UKOG to flow without a pump again?
Common sense would be to order a big pump than a 470 bopd rated pump. Maybe you guys should do some better research.

It seems strange to me that they initially used a pump that only has a max capacity of 470 bopd when we know the Kimmeridge flowed over 900 bopd in one section. Now at this stage they are moving to another pump thus incurring more cost.

This is sheer incompetance or some sort of delaying tactic since every test so far has only been run for around 6 hours. Are they trying to pump the sp to let someone out before some bad news comes? Why couldn't they do a longer test on the existing pump since the max they flowed for 6 hours was 401 bopd?

The last RNS states that the stable flow over a 6 hours was 401 bopd so not sure what a bigger pump is going to do. I'd understand if they had flowed the max capacity of the pump of 470 bopd for 6 hours but they couldnt. Very strange.

The large number of buys would normally move the sp up but it looks like someone is selling in the background. It could be YA offloading at a decent profit.

It's not really manipulation. We know the initial tests are positive but now comes the critical test that determines if it's commercial. There is obvious risk so the sp will no doubt drop while we wait.

The other glaring problem is that after all the excitement the number of oil tankers seem very limited given the claimed flow figures. We need to see at least 2 tankers per day to indicate a daily flow rate of 400+ bopd.

It's obvious there would be downwards pressure after the debacle of the last 2 weeks. We have seen time and again that traders sell on news and the MM's or whoever play on the fears of pi's.

After the peak rate tests, the extended flow test will take at least 2-3 weeks so there will be plenty of fun and games while we wait.

Look at the chart before making any decision. Still in a downtrend after the RNS spike. If it closes at 2.05p or above then it might be time to buy in.

The market will not accept anything other than commercial declration for Portland. There is still huge risk of failure during the extended test coming up.
If Portland is not commercial then we can expect to see sub 1p pretty sharpish hence why the sp will drift for now. If we start seeing daily tankers then it will be positive.

The real test of the Portland has yet to commence and that's if it can flow at a stable rate over a long period of maybe 3-4 weeks. The big investors will not buy in until it is declared commercial and the uncertainty is still putting downwards pressure on the sp.

Expect more fun and games over the next 2 weeks.

Sad to say but I think the sp will be lower by close since the news has been released and the next testing phase is the crucial bit. I'm out for that reason after the harsh lesson we had in the past week.

The rise is muted because of the steady drop over the last 2 weeks. The sentiment is shattered until Portland is declared commercial. The extended flow test phase is next so will make or break the sp over the next 2-3 weeks.
Sell on news is the way to go by the looks of it.

A hard lesson learnt since the last RNS 2 weeks ago.

I'm out for now. It may go higher but this time I won't make the mistake of not selling on news.

People would be patient if the sp at least stabilises at some level but sadly it has been dropping daily for the last 10 days. SS needs to release some info via twitter or an RNS to calm the waters.

The sp has been consistently dropping when buys outnumbered sells. Today it looks like there are more sells than buys. Could it mean it's in for a rise I wonder.

The news was positive last RNS so the selling is overdone imo. If there is a good RNS tomorrow or today after close then we can attribute the drop to MM games or insider trading.

I wonder if those who took the placing shares at 2p are still holding. If they are then they won't be too happy right now.
SS needs to defend the sp if all is well otherwise resign since he clearly is not up to it.

Usually they pump the price if they want out before bad news. I know the sp was going higher just before the bad news from BB came out.

It's not just the silence. I'm sure people are spooked by the lack of tanker sightings even though it is impossible for any of the twitter guys to stand there watching the site all the time. UKOG should be telling us when tankers are rolling in and out.
