Agree Kooba re the last slides - QD film....STM are opening up the prospect of use in mobiles under OLED for face recognition and also eye tracking - my hope this all aligns with the production capacity for Runcorn. Whilst we can argue about what the directors know and don't know about the destination of the QD's in the current commercial order, my hope is that they are positioning themselves with purchases now in anticipation for the biggest opportunity in mass roll out in handhelds and I guess wearables wouldn't be far behind......

If AVP wasn’t being launched in the same time frame what would we be thinking about product deployment?

On the balance of probability it's looking very favourable that the AVP is using STM sensors with Nanoco tech embedded.....but I'll only believe it when I see it confirmed for real. I'm not disputing the AVP has some USP's but that doesn't mean they are using new Nanoco enabled sensors to achieve that.

- TG2D the device room is not what you describe as reason for its build. It's main purpose is to manufacture wafers.... Yes it was mentioned that it could be used for tear downs but you saw the posts on X by Nanoco of the shipment of tooling didn't you?

TG2D I don't think I'm missing the point at all. I appreciate the sensor is important but it's as Nanonano said, not quite as important as you make out and that is possibly why the tear down stopped right there...."oh look another eye tracking sensor"....what motivation is there to understand it more? None in my opinion. I posted about the STM sensor going into mass production in March before and that not marrying up with the AVP launch. I'm less inclined to think it's in there at all and is perhaps destined for something else.

There will be NDA's in the supply chain though I'm pretty sure of that especially if it is a company like Apple. I can see a situation if the tech genuinely offers a USP such as cadmium/lead free SWIR that would be useful in marketing will a company go public with it.

It’s a sign that Nanoco and its technology are (to all intents and purposes to the masses)- a non entity.

We on here all care, regardless which side of the fence you sit, but outside of the small orbit of sensor companies and display companies at R&D levels and some of the investment community, we are really not worth any consideration. Perhaps in time the technology will become more recognised and interesting to others but just now even the tech geeks tearing the AVP apart are not particularly interested in what makes the unique SWIR sensors unique. They will probably simply assume STM or whoever the supplier is made the sensor work in the SWIR band without asking how or what other companies technology goes into it.

I imagine that a company that makes OEM air filters for a car has its own suppliers and no one would ask where the paper comes from for example that goes into it…..they only want to know if it’s any good at filtering.

But what have they not delivered TG2D ;-) - only joking I know the answer from your perspective!

Hands up Maxi I did indeed male a couple of errors with my over enthusiasm to research and I admitted at the time immediately after posting I'd made an error on the article - the search engine stated one date and I didn't see the actual published date until I posted the link in haste. And yes I spotted InP in the Sony SWIR sensor construction and once again got ahead of myself thinking that meant QD's. Thanks for pointing these out - I'll be more diligent in future.

You are a indeed a balanced poster, I'm just not sure why you are quite so vexed about the delay to the announcement because the word 'shortly' was used. Any number of other words could have been used in the same context (in due course, imminently, in the coming weeks, presently or in the 1st Quarter as was guided in October as they narrowed in on when they expected to finalise the mechanism I presume) - its just obvious that for some trust has gone completely, or in your case partly - and for others its not. I'm just not buying the idea the board are corrupt as so far they have delivered what was guided bar a few delays for reasons it seems out of their control.
